Wow, I honestly was so tensed up while reading this. Desendants of Sango and Miroku? I wouldn't have guessed, but then Miroku was a rather strong monk.(In fanfiction at least)
Kagome's family actuallly thought she'd leave Sesshoumaru to burn and die?!? How could they, knowing how she felt about youkai and having allowed her to traverse the Feudal Era. I mean, what did they think she was doing there...playing? The Shikon no Tama held youkai and Midoriko within it and when it cracked Kagome vowed to retrieve all of it and rid the world of it as it was a danger for both humans and youkai. Kagome met so many good youkai there. I'm sure she told her mother some of it. InuYasha being the first she met there and he come through the well on a regular basis. Her mother thought Kagome marrying him was alright because "he was half human". What did she think the youkai half was all about?
They surely had no real concept of what it meant to be hanyou..a half breed. InuYasha had a youkai half that could potentially become unstable and go off on a killing spree, but they apparently didn't consider this. Why? Because he was such a ''nice boy" when he was there in the future? InuYasha's youkai half has little to no control when it takes over. At least Sesshoumaru has control over himself. It is a shame that Kagome's mother, grandfather and InuYasha kept secrets from Kagome. It was unfair to her when she'd asked questions after finding she had amnesia and they didn't give her any answers that they knew could help her to get her memory back. They could have possibly prevented Kagome falling in love with Sesshoumaru if they would only have helped her remember and not getting into an agreement with InuYasha.
It's a sad situation but at least Kagome and Sesshoumaru tried to come peacefully to talk. Kagome now knows where she stands with them. She will be happier for trying. Her family will miss out on any children they have. A mother looks forward to a time of grandchildren and her mother and grandfather threw that out the door(or should I say, roof?)when ji san threw that sutra on Sesshoumaru.
I was very impressed with Sesshoumaru's strength after never experiencing such a result from a sutra. Kagome had no care what her family had to say. She walked into the flames to be with her mate/husband to be. He held on long enough to show them their mistake. Kagome would always choose him.
Now on to the next trial before Kagome and Sesshoumaru can live happily. Great work, my friend. Even after being away from this fic you continued on as if you never left it and kept the rhythm going.
Love ya!!! JEN alias, Tana_san
I'm glad they got away safely. Shame on her mother and grandfather for what they had done to Sesshomaru.
Aw, he loves her, though he knows not what it is

anika (Chapter 36) - Thu 19 Sep 2019
Oh wow seshomaru !!!
Hello, my dear friend. Long time, huh? Aren't you just full of surprises?!? I honestly have to say that I didn't see that coming. I mean, I expected that her family might still hold the grudge against Sesshoumaru and therefore Kagome too, but out of all the stories and cannon "InuYasha", grandpa's spiritual power is like that of a Fourth of July sparkler...it spitters and sparkles before just dying out... But this ofuda he had was a total mind blower! Sesshoumaru is able to withstand Kagome's spiritual power like he's blowing out a flame(pun intended), but old gramps' ofuda sets him to his knees on fire!?!!!!! Well done, my friend!
Oh poor Kagome and Sesshoumaru. These two are both tortured old souls. Their lives haven't been an easy walk. Sesshoumaru felt an unusual attraction when they met for a job interview and Kagome thought he was the man she had been dreaming of from her lost memories...neither thought too far ahead other than indulging in this need each felt and from there it inflated into something movies were made of.
You have done an excellent job keeping us on the edge of our seat!
I have to give Sesshoumaru props for putting up with Kagome's almost constant revolving emotions...and now she's pregnant on top of everything. I think he's been pretty patient up until now. The guy has serious issues with odors(youkai and sentitive noses) and she not only vomits in a closed, moving elevator, he uses his expensive jacket and tries to clean the mess as best he could all the while not knowing if his woman is sick and what should he do about it. I love his strength and persistence in keeping a calm demeanor through this...now he still has to take her to have a talk with her family and hope she is well enough and her family has enough love for their daughter(granddaughter) to accept her descision about her love life.... so not happening !!!
What else can happen? I'm sure you won't make us wait toooo long this time?!? (hint, hint)
Love you lots, Girlfriend!!!!

Phew, that came back with a boom! Thank you for the update! It was painful to read — it’s so difficult to imagine being able to throw away your child in a haze of judgemen without the class or courtesy to listen with an open heart. Perhaps the chapter was painful because there are so many people who have truly been treated so cruelly. Thanks for keeping up with the story and seeing it to the end as you find inspiration!
Welcome back. i did not see this coming with the cursed talisman.
This story has come so far. I can't wait to read what happens with the exchange with her mother. Will Sesshoumaru hold his tongue?
I really love your story. You do a good job of showing all the flaws of the characters and that makes everyone well rounded. I like how you layer the conflicts in the story, it adds depth and realism. I like how the emotional struggles are an actual struggle that each character has to work through in their own time.
