Oh, I really liked this. Though I swear it sounds familiar. Did you start it years ago and just not finish it? I hope you continue it, it'll be very interesting. I mean I don't think they'll have much time before they have to take off. I'm sure they'll figure out who helped him escape and go to her place looking for them. So running is definitely going to need to happen soon. At least until he's stronger again.

I enjoyed the way you used the prompts: fruit colored wounds andvwhatnot.  The title is wonderful as well.
