AHHHHHH Finally we see who the MerKing is. I love it. and the plot thickens! I have read your story all in one sitting and I have to say jolly good job. jolly good how indeed! You had made something that was different from the other plots and that I greatly appericated. There is a depth to the characters that make them 3 dimensional and provoke emotion from the reader. Please please keep updating like you have. So many good stories fall into idleness and I hope the same does not happen to this one!

I truly truly LOVE what you're doing with this story. And I'm so happy you update daily lol otherwise I might go crazy. I have been happy with everything, even the lack of detail on who is who up until this point. So I have one question, is it common knowledge that Merfolk can walk on two legs? Because the way I read this chapter Kagome saw his legs and she didn't even flinch. I feel like the villagers would be much more fearful of the Merfolk if they knew of this ability. Unless I misunderstood the warding along the beach and river. Even in Kagomes dream she alerted them to what i understood as the possibility of merfolk swimming through the mist. I always thought that was just to keep them from getting too close. Hmmmmm perhaps I'm over thinking everything I'm gonna go reread the whole story, don't mind me. I still love this. Well lets see if their doubts are confirmed or not. One thing is for sure: when Kagome returns she will quite different. I can't wait to see what happens next and more moments between Kagome and the merprince before she is returned :)

so Kaede's thoughts at the end of Ch. 26 (that Kagome would definitely be returning, if at all, as a Mer-Queen, not as a human) seem to contradict what was going through the Mer-King's mind at the end of Ch. 25 (when he went to provide for Kagome "until he returned her to her people.")  He has obviously claimed her as his intended, which would suggest he wants to turn her (claim her) sooner rather than later, but perhaps his plans to thwart the Western Lord require that Kagome be returned to the village as a human in order to create some kind of subterfuge. Hmm.

Also, I am assuming this is the case since you have been so sick, but I have noticed a number of typos in the past few chapters (which is unusual for your story - you may want to go back and proofread again when you're not feeling delirious with being sick!)  For example, in Ch. 26 you refer to Kagome holding "viduals" but based on the context, I presume you mean vigils?

A lot has happened and changed. She was being egged on both times (the past as a child and now as more of an adult). I wonder who the caster will turn out to be. Kagome's tune will change bout the merfolk, but I wonder if she will be able to tell everybody about it. I can't wait to see what happens next and how she becomes more acquainted with her intended :)

Hmmm... IDK about this Kags personality.  And a youkai, no matter how strong, being able to block reiki...?  It is the polar opposite of everything they are - traditionally speaking.  BUT this is the magic of fan fiction!! :-) so I eagerly await the next installment.

Straight to the point. I really like that the Merprince came right out and told her about the tragic event that happened when she was younger.  I'm glad that that little plot point was finally revealed.  

So many questions...will Kagome suffer from guilt about the event? How is it the merprince doesn't hate her for it even if she was just being manipulated? Will the merpeople forgive her?  And.....what does the merprince look like???  Does Kagome like what she sees?  So many questions....
