These last 2 chapters are just sooo very beautiful and sweet. It looks like whether Kagome wants to admit it or not, she is ready for courtship...with Sesshoumaru. She needs to stop denying her feelings and let InuYasha rest in peace knowing that she and their son will be happy and cared for.

Sesshoumaru is definitely ready for courtship, if he could just admit that she, even though human, is a very strong and powerful woman and would make a wonderful, life fulfilling mate and give him strong pups. His family would not be dishonored but made strong and powerful once again. I know he's thinking about it, he just needs to let go and just do it. Everyone else knows they belong together. I'm sure that once they have a little more intimacy and allow themselves to have sex, they'll both wonder why they waited.

That power that surged together that they both felt was as much as saying their powers were willing to become one. That would be an awesome feeling.  JEN

I think Sesshomaru is really amazing. He wants to court her and mate her, to fulfill his honor and the tradition but he won't pressure her or force her to accept anything she's not ready too - regardless if she's drunk or not.

Cannot wait to see if they can mingle their powers when awake and sober lol

I don't often write reviews, but I felt compelled to let you know how much I'm enjoying your story. I've been glad to see that Sesshoumaru has a personality that's developing overtime rather than being a bastard who has a sudden change of hormones, I mean heart, after abusing Kagome. Kudos for you for not taking that well trod road with this fic. I like your version of Sesshoumaru's mother. She's deliciously mischievous and cunning in her scheming. I love the kitsune wedding arc, although I was kind of hoping for a Shippo cameo. It would have been nice, but not really necessary to move the plot along. Keep up the good work.

Awe such a sweet chapter.  Makes you all happy inside.  I lile kagome honesty and sesshomaru. Patience.  Thier like for.each other is.moving so naturally.   I enjoyed this . chapters greatly

Sesshomaru is going to sabotage his relationship with Kagome with that kind of thinking. Kagome does respect tradition but she wants to be married or mated because she is wanted for herself not because tradition dictates it.

If Kagome finds out Sesshomaru will hold her at arms length and she will never have the closeness she had with Inu, I doubt she'd marry him regardless of tradition because Sesshomaru did give her the option of marrying him or not. I wonder how it would also affect their training in merging thier reiki and youki.

You know it would be soooo funny if he hit a tree in mid flight!
