Leave a cliffy and follow up with a FLASHBACK - I wouldn't use them in every chapter, but only when necessary.  I think it would be best to have a more personal memory come through than the impersonal flashback.

i'd prefer maybe a quick summary of what happened, not so much as a flashback.  people get stuck on flashbacks and try to work out every single detail perfectly while a summary is much more easier to write and understand.  great work so far! this is an original plot too which is awesome!

I seriously *need* to know who he is!  A son of Inuyasha or relative perhaps?  I feel like it might get messy if it's Sesshomaru's son or something.  And Sesshomaru should definitely come in and sweep her off her feet asap ;)

Since I love this story idea, I'll go with whichever will flow best with how you see the story going.  If flashbacks will highlight something you want us as readers to know more than just telling it let's go there... if you want to get to some kind of reuniting thing quickly go with the just telling, it all depends on where you want to take the story.

I like this story. I love the teasing interaction between Kagome and Shinji. I would prefer to read flashbacks, but I understand that you will have to follow wherever your muse leads you :)

I'll admit I'm incredibly intrigued by the plotline and how we're still guessing who this mystery inuyoukai is... Don't feel badly that you've started another unfinished fic... I know how having anything unfinished weighs on your conscience - but at the same time, I've found that I enjoy the journey to the end (whether it's "finished" or not). I will look forward to any updates whenever they may be! In the meantime, enjoy your writing - because we do!! Thanks for continuing this!
