woah...so...Sesshomaru has a child? is it male*hence the heir he needs*? and is it being raised by its mother? personally I doubt Sesshomaru would allow that since who knows what the broodmare would teach it. just when did he take said mate and how old is the child? will Kagome be raising it? is she herself pregnant I wonder...bet with all the stress if someone in the palace shot their mouth off she might be more likely to miscarry.

actually if said child has yet to be born I wouldn't be surprised if Sesshomaru might take it and have Kagome raise it*if/when she sees the broodmare doesn't want it*...if Kagome is pregnant at the time she could probably nurse the babe.

oh...what if both the broodmare and Kagome are pregnant at the same time and the broodmare has a female but Kagome has a male...would Sesshomaru take Kagome's son as his heir I wonder...especially if it is strong. Kagome definitely would feel like second place if Sesshomaru supposedly had to get the broodmare pregnant again to have a son...and I doubt Kagome would really recover from it so he might not do it...or he could blame the broodmare for the female child and say if she couldn't give him a male the first time what made anyone think the next time would be any different...

I hope you'll continue this storyline because there's so much that can still be explored.

poor kagome! this one just sort of broke my heart, it seems no matter what she does kagome can't quite win and generally because she just had the bad luck to not be born or be around at the right time, sesshomaru's reply that a lord is allowed two mates and his expectation for her to be okay with this seems a bit hypocritical after all since he got so furious with his father for abandoning sesshomaru's mother and taking izayoi, how exactly does sesshomaru expect his own son to react to his father coming in with a miko as his stepmother? poor kid's probably already annoyed at sesshomaru because of the way he obviously favors Rin over his heir and now he not only has a human foster sister but a kitsune step brother through kagome

yeah, sesshomaru's seriously got his work cut out for him to convince kagome that she's important to him, i kinda hope this expands into a full fic if only to see the process of kagome's heart healing, sesshomaru coming to understand why his taking of her and making her his second mate is NOT acceptable no matter what tradition states, and to what the children might think of the issue

Too bad, so sad indeed! I've always thought that those two weren't right for one another. Could you imagine spending your life wondering if someone loved you for you, or if they loved the part of you that reminded them of someone else? Yeesh, that would be recipe for an anxiety attack.

I really wish that the series could have ended with Sesshomaru and Kagome, they just seem so fitted for one another. Oh well, I guess it's a good thing so many people adore the pairing. I doubt there will ever be a shortage of Sesshomaru/Kagome fanworks.

I have to agree with you on this chapter. I thought it was kinda weird, but I liked it. So far I think my favorite has been Favorite Author. I absolutly love the line   "I have waited for centuries with no hope, and now that hope has been restored to me, I have lost all patience. Apparently, I am capable of maintaining only one virtue at a time.”

It's cute, and funny, in an odd way. Though, I sincerely hope there will be no double penetration. I'm going to assume not, for my own sake; I've always been really grossed out by the concept.
