Nifty, thanks for explaining 'warm sleepy fur' it makes more sense now. My husband has a stupid sense of smell too... and he teases me about it all the damn time. I think you're right that it comes with bad eyesight (my eyesight is awesome and I can't smell half as much as my half blind hubby can).
The story is interesting, but it progressed a little too fast. What just happened? Was Kagome's base camp attacked outright or was it one of those 'hit-andrun' type kidnappings? Other than that you've done excellent and have me eagerly waiting to see what happens next.
