I guess I's not put Kensess at being late 20s-early 30s at max?He just ACTS so mature all the time...so worldly, that it's really hard to tell how old he is...

I do feel like facepalming at Satome...she figured that out just NOW? Silly woman. But really...I can't help sympathising with her unease, and it's not really her fault. Too many women get burned by good-looking charmers who seem to be in for the kill...and nothing deeper. I'd be suspicious too.

And I really MUST ask...why Satome? She's right....he must have met a host of women, prettier and better spoken and more intriguing and yes, nice too. So why...this girl? This chappie definitely portrays mamiko/rin! That little brat as Kagome put it nicely is such a such a UGH! Words can't even express how much she irritates me! This is where a walk in by Ken-san would likely be Most appreciated. ;) Even more of a knight-in-shinning-armor moment then the last time he took advantage of Satsuki needing assistance, I would think. "Friends" such as these are more difficult to shrug off than a drinking suitor.

Usually, I would advocate that the bullied girl stand up to her bullies and tell them off herself, thus showing off her girl-power and general badassness.

However - I know firsthand what it's like to be made to feel ugly and disgusting and unappealing. And while I became good at standing up for myself, always, my secret fantasy was that some beautiful man would show up, and show them DOWN, and then sweep me off like it was all in a day's breathing for him.

So...umm...yeah...I know you've probably already written the next drabble, but this is me and all my feminist girly hormones, wishing with all our little hearts that Kensess will pop up right now and do what Mr. Naq'sDream never did.

O.o Someone's getting mouthy now hat his love-problems have been fixed! But I can see Mitasha now...40 years hence, slouched in a wicker armchair with a fat little toddler cuddled on his lap, boasting to said tddler how he'd "always known" that the toddler's grandparents were made for each other even when THEY didn't! 

And the toddler will smile and nod and squeal an excitement and and old, old Satome will fling a bread roll at Mitasha while an equally old but inulgently grinning Kensess looks up from his newspaper and winks at her to make her blush.
