I like this story so far :)  I was very, very happy that she cut off her hair, instead of something else.  When I read that she was goiing to the forest with a knife, I was dreading the idea that she was going to attempt suicide, only to be stopped by Sesshoumaru.  No offense to other people who use that plot device, but I just never saw Kagome as the suicidal type.  I've always thought she had too much moxy for that.  So needless to say, I thought her defiant act of cutting off her hair as a vent for her anger and sadness was much, much more in character.  I think your writing has a good flow to it and I'm interested to see how you're going to fill out the events and Kagome's relationship with Sesshoumaru.  Keep up the good work :)
