Ignore the flames! Keep going! This is GREAT! This lastest update leaves me feeling like I missed something some where but I think you did that on purpose. (studies you closely for a second) I can't wait to see your next chapter! :D
Wah! She knows WHAT?!?!?!? :faceflops:
On the matter of flames: if someone wants something other than what you're giving enough to be uncivil about it than they should write their OWN stories. :scowls: I find the fun of reading fanfiction is seeing where the author takes characters we know. Sure... sometimes I wish they took different routes; swifter, kinder, happier routes. But all-in-all except for suggestions or guesses I want nothing less than for the Author to be happy with his/her work. Certainly we (authors) need readers but it is not their Right to dictate the direction or course of a story. Some authors may give more chance for contribution than others, or be more inspired by reviews (I personally added an entire chapter to my crossover on ff dot net due to comments in reviews) but that is up to the Authors and their muses. It is poor form indeed to flame simply because a story is not going the way The Reader wants. There are plenty of Civil ways to show disappointment without being rude.
It all comes down to the fact that if you don't like it, don't read it.
And there's nothing wrong with taking the long way around.
That said, I have to say that I'm on the side of those disappointed Rin is being released –particularly in the Way in which she was. I am hoping that it is merely how he is Now and that perhaps his stance will change when he realizes how much Rin still wants to see HIM. However I am curious to see how you take it from here. There are uncountable possibilities and I look forward to following the path (no matter how convoluted) of the one through which you lead.
Thanks for writing!
inuyoukaimama (Chapter 137) - Wed 04 Apr 2012
Seriously, you keep on your path.
For those of us who read at our leisure, for pleasure are the ones enjoying your story.
There are some great smut fics out there, that are short, dive right in to the smut and are quick reads.
I prefer the meandering tale that leads us gently to the climax, it makes the read much more pleasant and some of us truly enjoy a tale, a story, that builds before it explodes. I'll take that and I'll thank you for it!
Short and a prelude to something? Does that mean another update today, perhaps? I hope so :) *crosses fingers*

Lemme first say that I'm not a very prolific reviewer. In fact, over the past 2 years of being a Dokuga lurker, this will be the first review I've left at this site.
I love this story. I love your characterization. I love the fact that you're reaching to really show Sesshomaru as a being with emotions as volitile and real as Kagome usually is portrayed.
I adore this story and I follow it with cult-like intensity.
<3 <3
Keep up the wonderful work!
Kayelyn (Chapter 137) - Wed 04 Apr 2012
O.O
What is Kagome going to say now?!
I love Sesshomaru in this chapter. "Creature and thing from the future"....Bahahaha. Even if he is being a jerk...one can't help but love him. Especially with all the care you have taken to deepen his character by exposing and embracing his flaws.
And I like that this is a slow development. Sesshomaru needs time to develop into being the youkai he needs to be, and Kagome needs time to grow up a little before they can see each other in a romantic light. I think that the pacing you have set is perfect, and I can promise you now...If you keep writing it, I will keep reading it. This story is too beautifully written and well done just to give up on.
Til next time, Lovely!
Lyra (Chapter 137) - Wed 04 Apr 2012
O.O Where did they go?! Baha! I can't wait to see what he's got to say to her...and what it was that he so badly needed to prevent her from saying. That's the only reason I can think of, really, especially considering how quickly he moved....
Or did Inuyasha's stare become too much for him? ::snickers::
Excellent chapter, as always -
Eagerly awaiting the moar :D
Have I told you how much I love that bird? LOL
I can't wait to see what Sess has in store for her. I love it when he tries to bait her by calling her creature, too funny.
Great job! As far as how the story is going.... this is your story write it however you want :) isn't that the joy of being the author. Personally I don't mind Minoru being in it so much. I think I've mentioned that I love that bird :)
koneji (Chapter 137) - Wed 04 Apr 2012
I have a feeling that Kagome might have taken things the wrong way - and it's making me laugh here. I had to re-read the chapter though, because I was a little confused as to 'what' it was that she 'knows' XD Keep up the marvelous writing!
KEdakumi (Chapter 137) - Wed 04 Apr 2012
Ah, it's your story. It's really good. Just roast some marshmellows over the flames. They'll get over themselves, if they want different, they can write their own story. :P
I'm a bit lost on what Kagome knew and was going to say. Can't wait for more!
I don't know what anyone is talking about. I think it's refreshing to see a story that actually does try and make sense of the whole plot and ways the two would randomly become involved, without it being random at all. I'm looking forward to seeing more from this. ^_^
Lyra (Chapter 136) - Tue 03 Apr 2012
Absolutely beautiful series of scenes! I love that the conversation between Sesshomaru and Minoru is more a conversation of silences than of the words that they speak - that they each know what the other is thinking, that they preserve distance so carefully between them, only to lose it all in the end.
There is certainty between them, and sorrow, and all the things they say are full of multiple meanings, layers of intention. This is one of my favorite chapters in this story, because without breaking the character out of his character you have made Sesshomaru's suffering an intensely personal situation.
You left him no choice but to open up and so he did - ::sigh::
Now all I need....
Is Moar!
Lyra (Chapter 135) - Tue 03 Apr 2012
This chapter is so well tied together - Sesshomaru's mental and emotional anguish, tied to the two he has chosen to protect. I seen unfortunate side -effects coming from this - he's so ready to lose everything that he's letting go of it before it can burn him - like a man sliding down a cable who's afraid of a rope burn. In a very few words youv'e made clear that Sesshomaru is standing on a terrible edge, two futures in front of him. One is hollow and lonely, a path he walks alone, a path I see him standing at the end of as a shadow of the Inu he is. The other is the path of the previous chapter - the path of "wholeness".
The agony of possession and the choice to let go is beautifully portrayed...
Now I only hope that Kagome or Minoru or Rin herself - or perhaps all three - slap some sense into him and make clear that "sharing is caring"...and the other way around :p
To the last moar of the now!
Lyra (Chapter 134) - Tue 03 Apr 2012
The first and last lines of this chapter really strike me - the image of a "whole", the group moving together, almost a family already...and then moving through who to what and what to why...and why leaves Sesshomaru with a question in his heart that only time can answer.
He fears abandonment...but with luck he does not need to. I think...he needs to learn patience...and not to jump to the first horrible conclusion that leaps across his brain!
Lyra (Chapter 133) - Tue 03 Apr 2012
Aha! So, he was worrying for nothing - and that is a very good thing. Long separation at this point wouldn't be good for Sesshomaru, Rin, or the health of anyone near the former. With Rin returned and Sesshomaru being forced to acknowledge more and more that the future is good for her - that Kagome and her family are good for her - the unfinished conflict between Minoru and Sesshomaru looms more than ever.
On an unrelated note...."Rin is pretty" - fantastic, just fantastic. There is a part of me that wonders if Sesshomaru would *ever* be so open with truths and feelings...but I suspect that in a situation where Rin needs the words, he will give them to her and dare anyone listening to laugh.
A beautiful chapter all around, doubt dragged to decision and hopefully left there...
Moar! (Again)
Lyra (Chapter 132) - Tue 03 Apr 2012
Oh dear! I'm not sure whether to be worried or not - Sesshomaru's on edge, and his mind immediately leaps to the worst possible conclusion....but I don't think he has much to worry about, at least not yet.
Just to be sure, though....
I'm cutting this short and running to the continued Moar!
Lyra (Chapter 131) - Tue 03 Apr 2012
Hmmm...smart of her, very smart. The longer she takes to make her own strengths and positions clear, the harder it's going to be to get him to accept her. Kagome has a unique position here, because Sesshomaru *cannot* hurt her without denying himself any possibility of seeing Rin again. Inuyasha will not defy her in this, at least not openly - all he can do is make comments and hope they have some effect. And Minoru..I wonder, is he more angry for Kagome's sake, or because his judgment is being questioned?
Onward to the Moar!
Lyra (Chapter 130) - Tue 03 Apr 2012
Ahaha...oh my. The drama is tense, and I feel for Sesshomaru - but at the same time this whole chapter is so hilarious I can't help from laughing at him. He finally speaks...and all he can say is nonsense and assumptions based on hsi own prejudice and not even a glimmer of reality.
Thankfully, Inuyasha seems to have restrained his idiocy - so all I can say now is What Next?
Lucky me, it's already posted! <3
Shea (Chapter 136) - Mon 02 Apr 2012
