Beautifully Wicked (Chapter 6) - Thu 23 Sep 2010

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I AM SOOOOOO ABOUT TO CRY! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS. Poor Sesshy D: I NEED TO KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPEN NEXT!

Sakuramaru (Chapter 6) - Thu 23 Sep 2010

In regards to your A/N - Are you serious?!?!  Of COURSE I like it!  It's one of my favorite stories at the moment!  Sorry I didn't review Chapter 5 - I don't know what I was thinking!  But I really, LOVE LOVE LOVE this plot...you are taking it in a very refreshing direction!

I've often pondered whether or not an author needs to have a split personality in order to write their characters so well...

Seriously Maddie, you really and truly have a way of getting in each character, and making them your own.  I don't know how you do it!  *jealous*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My favorite lines in this chapter:
""That's great," she offered in a weak attempt. "I'm sorry I don't remember much about you," she said, smiling apologetically.
You have no idea. "Not much has been forgotten." Just the only part that mattered."
My heart SEIZED when I read those lines!!! (I'm a sucker for angst!)  Knifethrower got it right by saying how Sesshoumaru is emotionally constipated!
Oh...and I am totally hating InuYasha right now...
I read that last line...I was like, "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"
Caitriona (Chapter 6) - Thu 23 Sep 2010
At this second in time I want to find the Inuyasha you write about and completely kick his ass.  How dare he lie to Kagome so horribly?  Does he not think that she is going to talk to Sango about something like an engagement?!? grrrrr.
Thanks for writing for us.  You're obviously doing a good job if I'm getting this upset over a character I usually adore.  I'm looking forward to reading more and hopefully seeing how Sess gets his head out of his ass and wins Kagome back.
knifethrower (Chapter 6) - Thu 23 Sep 2010
This is so frustrating it is almost painful to read!   InuYasha is so deceitful and Sesshomaru is so emotionally constipated.  I'm going to have to go back and re-read some earlier chapters to see if we know where Kikyo is right now.  She could appear and stir things up dramatically.  I'm always engaged when Kikyo makes an appearance and acts like a total b****.
helikesitheymikey! (Chapter 6) - Thu 23 Sep 2010
*jaw drops* WHAT A D-BAG! *wants to sit Inubaka to hell so he can say hi to Naraku*
several key points that the idiot will have not thought out of course...1) why wasn't her engagement ring on her or with her stuff that the hospital was holding for her 2) were was he when the accident happened 3) what was she supposedly doing that day when the accident happened 4) why wasn't he the first one notified and there 5) how did he propose? 6) and where was the OMG I just got engaged pic Kaggy would probably want in her scrapbook and whatnot? 7) or for that matter how about all the pics from the last year with her and Inu? I mean if they were only lying because of the engagement they shouldn't be hiding anything anymore right?
and if Inuyasha thinks Miyu will let it progress with them engaged like that he's got another thing coming!
plus he's SO GETTING BEAT UP when Kagome remembers everything.
I do like the story a lot and I hope you continue it...btw, are they youkai, hanyou, and miko respectively? I'm not sure if I've asked before so I wanna ask now.
totally can hardly wait to see what happens next...SO glad it's a Sess/Kag...btw, you might wanna change your A/N from chap 4
this part was a bit ambiguous (But that in no way means they will not get together. It just means, they won't get together that way.) It took me several minutes to figure out you were referring to the plotline and not how their relationship turns out...it was making me think they'd only be together as friends in the end...which I SO DID NOT WANT TO HAPPEN! so I'm glad the story will end up SessKag
btw, does Kagome know their dad at all? I mean I think he'd be interested in the son(s)'s dating life...I mean guy+girl=grandbabies!
PLEASE UPDATE SOON!
TheMikoShivae (Chapter 6) - Wed 22 Sep 2010
OMFG!  YOU DIDN'T!   *stabs you*
MissTeak (Chapter 6) - Wed 22 Sep 2010
Oooh, I never knew the heliotrope was symbolic of devotion. How lovely, hun!
This entire chapter has got to be the most emotionally-draining one so far! In the best way it can ever be, of course. I've never had so many emotions coursing through me in one chapter, and this one sure managed to make me feel so!
There's something about the blend of raging emotions - I felt so happy for Kagome that she was finally starting to suspect something, exhilarated that stupid Inuyasha is starting to have trouble with keeping his crappy facade up and thinking up new lies to entertain Kagome with, grateful for Sango and her constant efforts to destroy Inuyasha's fancy lies, totally awed by Miroku for his charm and his maturity in dealing with such an issue and also, his foresight in knowing that it wouldn't be too long before a certain dude screws up big time again. Then I was totally mad at Inuyasha for being so scheming, and I was curious as to where Kikyo was (secretly wishing she could put that creep in his rightful place), and finally, beyond furious at Sesshoumaru for being passive yet at the same time, torn between wanting to give him mega kisses and hugs for being so sad and helpless as he witnessed Kagome being 'taken care of' by the abovementioned creep.
Hrrrrrmph.
That was one long rant of emotions, and gosh, I am enjoying this story so so so much. You know how you wish a story would never end when you scroll down? That's exactly how I felt! The exquisite mixture of friendship as seen from Sango and Miroku, desperate, silent love from Sesshoumaru and even more desperate, painful lies from Inuyasha was mind-blowing. I seriously think PC might turn out to be my new favorite, even more so than Blood Stained, but as of now, I still adore the latter more!! <3 <3 <3 it's pretty cool to see Sesshoumaru being the victim this time round instead of Kagome, who is still clueless and being led around the whole place.
I like how Kagome is starting to sense something. She tends to have these snippets of flashbacks which are really good, because I hope these snippets would gradually come together into something larger and she can soon see and feel for herself that whatever she is currently sharing with Inuyasha is just not what it used to be. I am sure he is attractive and all, nice in his own way when he chooses to be, but something is lacking in the relationship because Inuyasha is well aware of the fact that he has chosen to cheat in a very expensive way by flying all the way to China to be with Kikyo. Talk about a high-maintenance affair but HAHA that's not the point here.
Anyway, I believe a woman's sixth sense to be way stronger than it is often given credit for, and I think Kagome would sense that Inuyasha is just not the same anymore. After all, she still knows what was going on between them a year ago. She would have sensed differences, or sense them sooner or later! :) Especially with Inuyasha being soooooo highly protective of her, clinging onto her in every way and kinda suffocating her with his presence until all she can have is him.
The part where he wanted her to leave the dinner gathering early was just infuriating.
Like, ARRRRRRRRRRGH get out of my face, stupid Inu. I am so gonna slap you sooner or later.
Sesshoumaru's actions, or the lack thereof, were rather annoying as well. I know it's hard for him, being thrown into a corner suddenly for no apparent reason, but Sango has already been trying her best, to the extent of playing the idiot at times, just to create opportunities for him. He might be noble in his love by choosing to distance himself as a shadow admirer, but I believe he should step up!! Of course, this is said not for you to change the story in any way, love. I love what you're writing. I am just annoyed with Sesshoumaru. XD But he has redeemed himself with the cute saving-the-maiden move outside the bathroom at the restaurant, and even more so with that superrrr adorable little wave. That little wave thing is SOOOOOOOO shoujo manga, and it is just tooooo adorable~ *FANGIRL MOMENT* Now, if only he can be more open with his actions!!
HUH? ENGAGED?? ENGAGED??? GO TO HELL!!!! *kicks*
Of course, that being said, I would never want to kill you Maddie! I still want updates very very badly~ if there's anyone who's dying, it would be INUYASHA!! Now let go of me, people, I am so gonna jump in there and make minced meat out of him!!!! *wields chopper*
Tarawriter (Chapter 4) - Wed 22 Sep 2010
I like the story.  I'm not normally a big fan of AU unless it's somehow tied to the original canon, but this story makes me happy for many reasons, including the descriptions you use.  Your writing has improved so much over the past few months!  You should be really pleased with your work.
One thing I wanted to mention was the memory loss.  Memory is fragile when damaged, as we discovered after my grandmother had surgery to remove a brain tumor, and the one thing all her doctors and nurses said was that we should keep as many mementos around as possible.  Lying to a patient, at least according to her doctors, could actually cause more damage in the long run.  It's standard procedure to reintroduce someone to his or her current life slowly but steadily.  Now, that doesn't mean friends and family don't sometimes go against a doctor's wishes firmly certain they're doing what's best for the person.
All that aside, this really is lovely, and I am looking forward to reading more of it in the future.  It's always so nice to see a writer develop his or her talent online because it's a bit like seeing it firsthand.  Thank you for sharing your stories!
NanashiTenshi (Chapter 5) - Sat 18 Sep 2010
I'm so happy, still fell sorry for kags n sess, but happy i got to read more of ur wonderful story. :D going to check out the new one :) thanks.
Sakuramaru (Chapter 5) - Fri 17 Sep 2010
Every chapter I get more and more invested.  This is a wonderful fic!  I stand by my statement before when I say you are my favorite author!
I just LOVE the way you get my emotions in an uproar! :)
Caitriona (Chapter 4) - Tue 14 Sep 2010
The last few lines of this piece were beautifully done and very visual.  The reader can tell exactly the emotions and awkwardness that Sess and Kags are feeling.
For the first time in a long time, I'm really NOT happy with Inu.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Alpine (Chapter 4) - Mon 13 Sep 2010
Poor Sess.... and Kagome... Hopefully she can remember soon so she doesn't torment him and in the long run make it anymore difficult on herself.
That was a great chapter... Look forward to more.
Hugs
Alpine ^_^
MissTeak (Chapter 4) - Sun 12 Sep 2010
Ahhh~ First emotion of love. Sounds very promising!!
Sesshoumaru deserves to be kicked and whacked repeatedly with a stale baguette. LOL. Why is he emo-ing in one corner at such a crucial point?? He is supposed to be by Kagome's side! It doesn't help that the song 'New Divide' by Linkin Park for Transformers II chose to play on my computer now...it makes me want to cream Inuyasha with one of those awesome Transformers.
Miroku is...the BEST. Miroku FTW~ He is really right; I guess someone like Sesshoumaru should never be forced out into the open especially when he is so unwilling and miserable. It's so cute how Miroku and Sango are secretly doing small little things here and there, like going to the hospital early to prevent Inuyasha from interacting too much with Kagome. Mentioning how Sango is involuntarily more cautious on the road is very mature indeed! It does happen, especially when people witness what happen to others around them.
OMG EEEEEW INUYASHA. How much lower can you sink??
Arrrrgh. I usually like Inuyasha and portray him pretty decently in my fics (even nice at times because I love him together with Kikyo), but this is...YUCK.
Ta ma de qu si ba!!!! (LOL cursing in Chinese here because he deserves that line. "Damn you, go and die!"
Sango is awesome-possum. She should grow roots by Kagome's side so that stupid Inuyasha cannot go near her!!! I cannot stand him here - he is being so ridiculous! And of course, definitely very smug because Fate made a big boo-boo and gave him the miracle second chance for nothing! Damn! Can things get worse? No!
LOL, just to make sure you know, I still adore you, Maddie. Even when you make my poor heart pound harder with anger.
I pray someone (ANYONE!) could tell Miyu what was going on between Sesshoumaru and Kagome. Reading Sesshoumaru's perspective of the situation made me less mad at him, since he is trying hard in his own silent manner to come up with a decent way of going back into Kagome's life and get her back. *rubs bumps on Sesshy's head* I shouldn't have hit him so violently LOL.
Oh dear, the part about Sesshoumaru's portrait is...breathtaking. I wish Kagome could see it and realize just how much he had meant to her back then. But of course, it might be too hard for her to bear and I have to agree that what Sango did was rational.
Kagome's confusion and silent suffering made me fall in love with this story. I am SO in love now. Pink Carnation is turning out to give Blood Stained a run for its money! LOL.
Sigh. I should have known. Inuyasha...well, I guess he's not too much of a complete jerk, but still, he is not being too honorable either. So what if you got Kagome all to yourself?? You got her because you lied. Eeew. It's so annoying to know that he is actually planning out a fantasy year to entertain her with when she inevitably questions him, but I can kinda understand where he's coming from?? So that makes it frustrating. The passive and aggressive contrast between the brothers is driving me loony. Sesshoumaru has to be more aggressive so Inuyasha can be less so. Arrrrgh.
ZOMG.
The last scene broke my heart, Maddie! *sobs* Make it better, pretty please?? The idea of them sitting side by side but as strangers is painful~
MORE PLEASE!!
Terri-tots (Chapter 4) - Sun 12 Sep 2010
Someone please, grab Sesshoumaru and SHAKE HIM HARD.
Come on man!! You KNOW you could totally seduce her away! Inuyasha's gonna end up doing something stupid anyway (as per his track record) So SLIDE INTO POSITION TO CATCH HER!
BAAARGH!!
Honestly though... I'd have his reaction if someone forgot me.
MissTeak (Chapter 3) - Sun 12 Sep 2010
Now, because I've been MIA from Dokuga for the past few days, I was totally stumped when I had to make a choice between reading Blood Stained and Pink Carnation and Polarity. Now, of course we all know how much I love them all, but I still had to make a choice. So I went with Pink Carnation, since I have a very strong feeling I won't be able to do anything but weep in joy or gape dumbly at the screen after I read Blood Stained LOL.
So, here we go!
For starters, I adore the creeping willow, and don't you agree that it makes such an awesome backdrop for any picture??
The way you described her discomfort as a costume she had to wear was a very refreshing experience for me indeed! I tried to imagine how she might feel, and I can only say, it's such a great way of putting it, Maddie!! :) Poor Kagome, this girl really is suffering very badly here.
ZOMG! *smacks nurses* Kagome is NOT delirious. She wants Sesshoumaru; she needs him!! Get him here RIGHT NOW. *growls*
I'm glad Kagome is okay as of now, and thank goodness for making Sango want to go see her for herself! I was going all paranoid over how Kagome might turn out a little loony or lacking some part of her, but thankfully, she seems perfectly OK. Yay for that! The hug with Miyu and the way you've mentioned the older lady's familiar perfume made me tear up a little; I always identified my grandma and mother by the way they smell. It's the little things that make people so special to us.
HOLY CRAP.
HOLY CRAP.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
ARE YOU FOR REAL?
SHE SAID 'YOU'RE NOT INUYASHA?'?????
*faints*
Please, somebody help me. This is insane.
How could she?? OK, fine, she can because she just pulled through a life-and-death situation, but still, of all people on earth, she had to forget the one who was yearning for her love the MOST. This sucks. As in, not the story of course, but Sesshoumaru's fate. LOL. He is such an ill-fated darling! I can picture his face and imagine the immense frustration that he felt at that particular moment. How could things turn out this way?? :(
LOL at 'zombie-like'. I shouldn't be laughing, but the mental image of a petrified Sesshy is a little comical.
When you said 'a year', everything just came rushing to me, and I realized just what was going to happen already. OMG. OMG. OMG.
HOLY.
This is AWESOME SAUCE. I am now totally hyped up for Pink Carnation because I can just envision the drama that'd be rolling in very, very soon. She lost a year of memory, which means she went back to..
*Le Sigh*
I can only count on your wondrous writing to rescue my poor mind. It's on hyperactive mode now. Poor Kagome is obviously in a state of misery, but HELLO?? So am I!! LOL. I need something good to happen!!
Oh gosh, now the brothers will be stuck in an even worse situation. Talk about terrible, really!!! We're in for it this time. Thankfully, Sango and Miroku are there.
I WILL EAT HIS DAMNED GET-OUT-OF-JAIL-FREE CARD AND FINE HIM ON ALL HIS HOUSES AND HOTELS.
(Sango whispers, "Pssss Jasmine, we are NOT playing monopoly for real...")
RIGHT.
OK.
The A/N was nice, my dear! It just tells us that we, as readers, have more to anticipate.
Off to the next chapter I go!
jk (Chapter 3) - Fri 10 Sep 2010
if she ends up with inuyasha then how is it a kagxsessh fic
Alpine (Chapter 3) - Fri 10 Sep 2010
(Strangled Cry!!) geez... I was so not expecting Sesshy to just give up like that but that just makes me want to see how this will go. It was a great chapter...
Hugs
Alpine ^_^
knifethrower (Chapter 3) - Thu 09 Sep 2010
I feel soooo sorry for Sesshomaru in this.  I'm continuing to really admire the way you are handling InuYasha.  Even though everything is dripping with drama and emotion, somehow you have managed to write it so it does not feel melodramatic or overwroght.  I am so blown away by your writing in the case of this story, in particular, though I have very much enjoyed everything you have posted on Dokuga.  I would say your writing has matured, and is nigh on to perfect.
Sakuramaru (Chapter 3) - Thu 09 Sep 2010
OMG MADDIE!!!!!!!  AMAZING story so far!  I love the emotion that is relayed in this chapter...I feel so bad for Sesshoumaru!  And reading your second author's note...I'm wondering exactly where this is going!
...
I think at this point, it's fair to say you are my FAVORITE author!  Keep up the great work!!
Sakuramaru
P.S. - having to type in "inuyasha" before submitting this comment makes me mad.  I'm so mad at Inuyasha right now!!!!
