HA! I loved this chapter! The interaction between Sesshoumaru and Kagome was funny, and I am really looking forward to seeing more of it. I also find it funny that Kagome expressed annoyance with the *sniff* thing. I gotta say, it drives me a bit crazy imagining someone doing it in conversation while reading your story! I usually end up shaking my head at it. I have to say, I've kind of imagined Megumi as a Japanese Dame Judi Dench (in her grumpity role in Pride and Prejudice (http://img5.allocine.fr/acmedia/rsz/434/x/x/x/medias/nmedia/18/35/99/80/18871583.jpg) though obviously not in English Regency wear). I think I'm really enjoying this story because you write very fluidly. I can SEE the story as I read it. I can't wait for the next chapter!

Oh my dear you are very welcome! Yet again another enjoyable chapter. The interaction between Kagome and the village women is really interesting to me. You'd think they would treat even a miko in training highly, but they don't. I'm looking forward to more!

I'm glad you've written a Kagome who desires some amount of usefulness. I know there is a degree of 'canon-ness' needed for characters, but Kagome has always seemed so strong-willed and independent that I could never understand why she would never have had any actual training (other than, I suppose, narrative continuity in the series... it would have been an odd aside). I'm really looking forward to more.
I've only just started reading (and now have up to chapter 8), but this story is interesting so far. The plot keeps getting more and more exciting. Please update soon!
