Before he left the room, Sesshoumaru spoke as though he had personal experience of being ambused and defenseless at sometime in his past.  I could be wrong but his comment seemed more for him than her.  If only her mind could heal as fast as her body. 

Even though I usually feel sick and hateful whenever I read rape scenes, especially when it's right in the beginning, I can't help but feel curious as to what will happen later.

This also feels pretty close to real life. What's your reference?

Anyway, keep up with this story.

This review will be for the first 5 chapters, as I've been on pain meds for the last few days, and couldn't coherantly write out reviews for each excellent chapter (although the amount of coherance in this review might be lacking a bit as well -- apolorgies)!  Good fic!  I almost immediately added it to my favourite's list after chapter 3 with your complex portrayal of Kagome's reaction to the rape.  And I can't wait for ther revenge on Inuyasha and his "buddies" -- not only from Kaegome, but what in the hell will Miroku and Sango do when they find out?  If Kagome was removed because she was in danger, would it not follow that Sango and Miroku would be in danger as well, once Inuyasha finds out that Kagome is missing and in the hands of his brother (I assume that was what was meant in chapter 3 (?) when Sess said something to the effect of "to inform your husband where you are"?).  And R0o's suggestion of Jakotsu being brought back is a good one, but couldn't Kagome or Sess mentally force her memories of the rape into Inuyasha and "buddies" minds in first person perspective and then loop it so it replays endlessly?  I imagine that they would want to scratch out their own eyes to get rid of the images/feelings...(I figure that might be more effective as a revenge ploy).  One question, though: living in that period of time, wouldn't Rin have an intrinsic knowledge that rape occurs and that she figured that someting like that had taken place and that was why she rushed to get Sess (as her motivations to get Sess wasn't that clear to me -- although, percocet and lucidity is not a good mix)?  Also, as she is a miko in training, wouldn't she realize that the Shikon Miko is tainted now?  Csn't wait for the next chapter!  Hopefully, Inuyasha et al will be punished in the next few chapters.  My only question is will Sess do the punishing, or will he allow Kagome to do it to regain her strength of character?  Am really liking the complex characterization of Sesshoumaru and Kagome!  Keep it up, and update soon, please!     

*very evil grin* I'm waiting to see the pain that will be wrought on Inuyasha and his friends, but first, Kagome has to become the Lady of the West. I can imagine him being summoned by Sesshomaru to attend the introduction of the new Lady of the West and see the shock on his face when Kagome is introduced as the Lady of the West. The first thing as the Lady of the West is to decide the most heinous punishment imaginable for him and his friends. r0o brought up a good idea in bringing Jakotsu back from the dead or making him a girl or better yet, have him castrated, turning him into a eunuch, or make it so that he is able to get pregnant. Oh, the tortures I'm thinking of for him in this one. You shouldn't have her kill him off. That would be WAY too easy. Have her torture him for a VERY long time. Only then will he learn his lesson and have nightmares about it only to have them become reality. I'm already looking forward to the next chapter.

I like this story. There are going to be many emotional depths in this. Sesshomaru is a man of few words right now. I think he is trying to figure her out some way. I like it.

After this chapter I have decided to favorite this story!  You've managed to pull me in and now I'm dying to know what happens!  I hope that Inuyasha and those men get their just dues and they suffer for what they did to Kagome.  I like how you have touched on a real world issue and developed a story around what kind of problems a compulsive glambler can bring into a family dynamic.  I am eagerly awaiting your next chapter so please update soon!  You're doing a fantastic job!!!!!!

Make him hurt! make Inuyasha hurt!

Once again another great chapter. I am interested to know why Inu only married Kagome and not mated her. And what does my Seshi want with her? hhmmm.

This just gets more amazing.  Your writing style is beautiful, even if the events are ugly. 

The shock is beginning to wear off of Kagome.  It was good therapy for her to talk to Sesshoumaru.  Since the rape, she's been operating on adrenaline fueled by hate and anger.  It was good that Sesshoumaru did not act all sympathetic towards her when he found her, because she might have went to pieces.  His usual cold attitude was just what she needed to help keep herself together.  But now is the time to start healing not just physically but more mentally.  She has a hard road ahead.  Not only will she remember their scent, but their touch, their voices, and their taste if she was made to do that also.  Once her body gets rested from the needed sleep, the nightmares will come.  She may even have flashbacks while awake.  For sure, it will be quite a while before she's even interested in sex once again and the first time may not go so smoothly.  It would take a male with a lot of patience to woo her and rid her of her fears.  In spite of his seeming cold appearance, I believe Sesshoumaru is a much deeper person than he shows to the world.  He is exactly what she needs now. 

I like the plot of this story because it is very, very different from your average Sess/Kag story.  It has great potential and I am excited to see how you delve into the subject of a gang raped victim.  What makes it doubly worse is that it was initiated by her husband.  I'm glad Inuyasha did not mark her.  A simple marriage should be easier to desolve, even back then.

You've done a wonderful job of portraying the stunned, numb, nearly incoherent state Kagome must be in at this point in the story.  I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing what Sesshoumaru's "protection" will entail as HE understands it, and how it might conflict with "protection" as Kagome might see it.  Also, I cannot help but wonder at what he feels her "purpose" might be.  A very intriguing tale, with incredible emotion, portrayed so vividly through your words!  Can't wait for the next exciting installment!!

 I very much enjoying reading your story . The suffering of a wife being abused by her husband is unforgiveable .Life in marriage should mean love, respect ,and loyalty. Being abused is something no woman should go through.

Let's see: Highlights for the last two chapters: I love the simmering anger Kagome is fostering, and the various concotions she keeps cooking up for revenge. Also, the description of her physical pain is fantastic. I totes enjoy it.
