damn, you made me depressed again, great chapter though!

Miss K, you have my crying my heart out over this chapter! Though, I must admit, a lot of it has to do with the fact that my brother is a fireman, so reading this made me think about it possibly happening to him--and he's married and has a little girl--so it only made me cry more and the fact that it brought back memories of being in the room as my grandmother passed. Very touching chapter, you did a wonderful job, and I loved seeing the differences in Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's emotions because of Touga's passing.

Reading this chapter brought back memories of when my father died. When he was in the hospital, the only way he was alive was the respirator and my mother had signed that sheet to get him off. I saw him one last time and he didn't look the same at all. We even stood there as the unhooked her from the machine kind of hoping that maybe he would start breathing on his own again. So in a way i can sympathize with Inuyashas feelings on not wanting to see his father like that all burned. I can sympathize with Sesshoumaru as well about his desire not to see his father die. Nobody wants to see that parents go.

Getting past the sad factor, this chapter was very good and you touched on the realistic emotions of loss very well. I look forward to your next chapter. :-)

Dang it... I'm still crying. I was crying hard all throughout this chapter. It was very dramatic...not I gotta go to my ECM and have an emo spazz anf cry some more.

Poor Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha.  With all of the stress in their lives, it's so sad they have to deal with this.  Poor Touga.  I wish that he would have made better choices in his life, but he ended up with two wonderful sons.  I wonder how this will effect Sesshoumaru?  Will it cause him to turn away from Kagome again?  Or will he keep allowing her to be there for him in his time of need?  Thank you for the quick update!

That's so sad....*sniffle*...It was good for Sesshoumaru to show Kagome, though.  Pour Inu-Papa....

*sniffs* Oh that was so hard to read. Brought to many memories back of, well, a month ago when my own Mom passed away much the same way. She didn't have burns, but had been on a ventilator due to lung infection and her diabetes. Oh my. *sniffs*

It was a very well done chapter and pulled so hard at my heart.

Oh no, will Sesshoumaru feel guilty for being safe with Kagome and Rin while his father was hurt?  Hopefully this doesn't cause him to back away from Kagome again.  Thank you for the update!  I can't wait until you come back and tell us what's happening with Sesshoumaru's dad!
