Addy (Chapter 3) - Thu 28 Jan 2010

:D  Yay!   Love the new chapter.

1CarinoInu (Chapter 3) - Thu 28 Jan 2010

I really like how this update ended.  At least Kagome is now understanding that she wasn't the only victim in this, and how much he has sacrificed and will continue to sacrifice as his mate.

I look forward to your next update - maybe they'll run into Hojo?

smcandy (Chapter 1) - Tue 06 Oct 2009

Not too bad but I find that someone lie Sesshomaru being honourable and all might not that sentimental after what happened due to his lack for caring for human beings. But you did the bets you could under the circumstances with edited chapter so my hats off to you ^^

knifethrower (Chapter 1) - Fri 18 Sep 2009
This is in response to an earlier review. I don't respond in behalf of ML Monty. These are just my own thoughts. I assume that the humans could be affected by the demon's mating season due to the pheromones in the air. It was Inuyasha who was supposed to be on guard, so it would not take extraordinary circumstances for Sango and Miroku to have a midnight tryst. As for humans going into "heat", Sesshomaru is a demon, who has had no reason to study human reproduction. It seems to be common belief that the demon's reproductive cycle would be similar to that of a dog, or deer, etc. For this reason, Sesshomaru could very well consider a human's menses as being "in heat" from his own point of view. It is never revealed exactly how mature Inuyasha was when his mother died, but if he was quite young, and a feral child after that, his perception of human fertility could very well be instinctive, so his beliefs about a human going into "heat" during the menses might be the same as Sesshomaru's. Even if they know the menses are not the same as a female animal, or demon, "heat", they still might be instinctively attracted by the menstrual blood. Demons might also consider a human female in heat if she is fertile. They could be able to sense the actual fertility, through the ability to smell the hormonal status of the female. This, from a demon's point of view, and in a demon's terminology, would most likely be termed being "in heat" as well. As for the actual dates of fertility, using a calendar based on menstruation to predict fertility is a very risky form of birth control. I hope that young women who read the earlier review will not take the information in it to mean that it is "safe" to have unprotected sex outside the supposed fertile days, or we may have a few new unplanned Dokugians...

autumngold (Chapter 2) - Tue 15 Sep 2009
While I understand that Sesshoumaru had no control over his actions, I wonder why no one feels bad for Kagome. All she hears from everyone is how strong Sesshoumaru is, how is wasn't rape because he was in heat, how she is so lucky to be alive. Even with all of those things being true, I still feel for Kagome. Not only did she have this horrible thing happen to her, but everyone is making her feel bad. The only one who has felt sorry for her is Sesshoumaru, but he doesn't count because he is the one who did it to her. I'm going to be very disappointed in Kagome's mother if tries to make Kagome feel guilty for her anger too. Please let her mother give her some sympathy. Maybe if just one person could understand her side of things it would help her get over her anger. Really enjoying your story. Please post another chapter soon.

Ava 365 (Chapter 2) - Tue 15 Sep 2009
Well, I read this story the first time. I find this new version a lot better. I've never been raped so I don't know how it feels but I never thought your body could react to stimuli when the attention is unwanted. I got a bit mad when I read the fisrt version because I've read many stories of raped women and all they mention is pain, specially because they were beaten while being raped and it was done by a stranger and they were caught off guard. I've also heard some people have been raped by people from their near environment, but I've never heard their stories. However I do know my body, and I know it only reacts to pleasure when under a confortable mood, when I know and trust my partner. It has always been like that no matter how much I like my sex partner, there has to be love and trust in order for me to enjoy it. You've mentioned before that you know about the human psiche, how it works, perhaps you could explain it to me.

YSM (Chapter 1) - Tue 15 Sep 2009
You seem to show an interesting view on how the female reproductive system works. Do you honestly think that women come into "heat" right after menstruation? That is what you insinuate by saying that there is old blood on the course curls of females during mating season. For I am sure that given at least a week, that old blood crusts and falls from their bodies. I have come by other fanfictions that seem to be under the same delusion, some go as far as saying that menstruation is equivalent to being in heat. Which is nowhere realistic. Any Health class can clarify the facts for you. Menstruation is the moment females discard the thick layers of blood and tissue developed in the uterus along with the monthly ovule if it isn't fertilized. In a 28-day cycle, it takes around 12 days after the end of menstruation for the uterus to develop its layers of tissue and blood. This is to provide a fertilized ovule a place to attach itself on to the mother and start developing. By the end of the first 16 days of the cycle (or 12 days after period), the ovule is released and has 24 hours to become fertilized. Those 24 hours are what you could refer to as, "heat". If by the following 2 weeks the ovule does not attach to the bloody uterine tissue, the body enters menstruation. And the cycle starts anew. Do you know what this means for your fic? That, if you want it to remain believable even by fantasy standards, then you must correct the idea that a female enters "heat" right after having her period. Because if that were the case, the infamous "mating season" would be no different than a simple monthly fertile moment for females. Obviously too frequent to be considered a "season". But then again, that is why, if you try to apply mating season to humans, it would still be a bit too unrealistic. Youkai mating season? Sure. They don't have to be fertile every month like humans do. Human mating season? Well if it happens almost all-year round (12 times a year) then it isn't exactly a "season" >.> But of course, if you wish, you can say "author's liberty", and throw normal human menstrual cycle out of a 20 story building window, into the harsh concrete, and then run over by a truck a la Final Destination style for your story.
