Oh my gosh! Thank you for the update! I do hope that we won't wait for another 2 years before your next one (if you can help it). Anyway I have my own barrage of thoughts right now.
First, I understand Kagome's point of not forgiving Sess. I would have done the same in her place. And I commend her for being a good mother despite the babe's manner of conception. It truly portrays the depths of her kindness in the canon setting and als that as a human being she too have limits to such benevolence. Heck, even ancient gods are not as benevolent as her at times and punish humans just because they feel like it. I hope she will be free someday. But it would certainly defeat the purpose of her changing history.
Second, Sess's resolve and method of endearing himself reminds me of biblical Leah, Jacob and Rachel triangle. Their story is quite complicated and in one instance, Leah, with her child-bearing capabilities, thought that since she gave Jacob more children, he will finally love her which he did not. It may seem cruel of him but then the way Leah conspired with her father to marry Jacob in the first place would certainly make your blood boil and Rachel had to watch in the sidelines while the man she loves marries someone else unknowingly and powerless to stop it. I don't know if you read the bible, a christian or even just merely possess one, but it certainly is interesting to read especially people's lives. So I can say that while Sess thought that more children will make her love him, he will definitely be proven wrong.
Third, the efforts of his servants to mend the situation seems to only fuel Kagome's resolve to escape. Not that I blame her. Though to their credit, they know when to back out. And the noblewomen's attitude most certainly remind me of majority of the nobles in times past. Tea parties, gossips, etc. With women like that, no wonder men thought they're superior.
Fourth, Inuyasha deserves all that is coming to him. I can't sympathize with someone who just acts recklessly in pursuit of the past. Just because he regrets it does not mean he will be easily redeem himself to Kagome and I'm glad she did not trust him as she once had. Death is also too kind for him. Make him suffer more please.
Lastly, the conniving wretches Kikyo and Kagura. While I like Kagura and Kikyo when they're not a bitch, I definitely hate them more concerning the way both just want to eliminate those that are in their way. Not to mention Kikyo lost her rights a long time ago for her stupidity and the filthy incarnate of a filthy created hanyou do not have the right to be possessive of something that is not even hers. Grrrrrr. Make them suffer and drink their own medicine.
