LoveNabokov (Chapter 10) - Thu 13 Jan 2011

I LOVE THIS!!! You're brilliant ML!! My favorite is the "mama" Kagome, I usually just stop reading the moment shippou calls her mama, it just peeves me too much. Anyway, amazing work on your part my friend!!!

SilverontheRose (Chapter 30) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

Thank you so much Monty!!  *bows to the author of her amusement*  I am tickled pink you considered my ranting!

saru (Chapter 30) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

Happy birthday MLMonty, I´ve already had a piece of cake today because my dad has birthday, too.

You know I love you! There are so many themes you already had which have always bugged me. Especially the ones were it´s accepted that a male could cheat and the girl forgave him somtime later but if the girl cheats she is a slut. I´m curious and always read the reviews of the readers and I was always appalled how many girls called Kagome a slut because she left or cheated on Sesshoumaru but when the roles are reversed they always begged the author that Kagome should forgive him even if he was an ass but he is really sorry now. That alone was enough for the readers and they just wanted their happy ending. I´m always disgusted that there are really so many females out there who don´t have any self-worth and would take their partner back just not to be alone and their excuse is alway "because I love him".

I´ll never understand why so many people, male and female, need someone to be happy. If someone can´t be happy by being alone than there is something wrong with him/her. There is a difference in being happy but wishing for a partner and wishing for a partner to be happy.

Another topic to write about is how everyone is paired with someone really fast so no one is single and therefore "unhappy"!!!?? It always astounds me how fast Kouga suddenly fell in love with Ayame after he finally accepts that Kagome doesn´t want him. There is no way that such a stubborn guy who really loves Kagome can "fall out of love" with her so fast and is immediately mated Ayame or someone else. The same with Inuyasha, who is nearly obsessed by Kikyou and has strong feelings for Kagome, falls suddenly in love with an OC who is always more a Mary-Sue than a really well developed character.

One which I had in mind is also how Rin will always be a breathtaking beauty when she grows up (not that she is ugly now but all I would say about her is she´s cute) and is suddenly an adult. There is no time period between of her being a child and then an adult. They don´t give her the chance to grow into a preteen or teen and she is always a very intelligent and absolutely perfect girl. I´m asking myself if the authors forget how they were themselves as a teenager. There is no way that a child goes through puberty without the swift mood-changes, temper tantrums, drama and the power struggles. Some have them more and some less but it´s normal to have them. Strange how imperfect Kagome is always portrayed (no matter her age she is always portrayed childish, clumsy, naive and has absolutely no backbone when it comes to her "friends"; that´s so annoying) and everyone else is much more mature than her.

That´s why I love your Cultural Differences. You gave her REAL life and a believable character. She was strong when needed, had her weak moments which were absolutely fitting and had a really good plot with topics like rasicm which is still present nowadays. I also liked the different roles and that she was not immediately best friends/sisters with Sango and the gang.

Damn, what a long review. I apologize if I got on your nerves but I really love your writing style and your stories. You´re a great author.

BlueHeavensAngel (Chapter 30) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

xXxBlackRosexXx (Chapter 30) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

I love this fanfic!! =D I find lots of the things here sooo true. I have 2 things I hope you do; I will mail you them.

Gabrielle (Chapter 30) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

Happy Birthday :)

I love your parody.

Gabrielle (Chapter 13) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

One of the previous installments was a parody about summaries. I read it, and I noticed I had written a summary where I just said to the audience, "read it, it is worth it!" or something along those lines. Oh, how sorry I was for writing that after I had read that installment. I admit, it looks foolish, and if I can't write a proper summary, what makes me think that the reader will think the story is any better?

So I changed it, and I owe you a thank you!

Off to read the rest.

Lumi (Chapter 30) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

Absolutely hilarious. I didn't even notice some of those problems until you pointed them out.

On the topic of problems, I've noticed a couple myself:

1) Kagome staying a miko after losing her virginty. I'm sorry, did I miss the memo where shrine maidens don't have to be pure of body? Some explain this, but most don't.

2) Barriers for EVERYTHING. Barriers for sight, scent, sound, block from the inside, block from the outside, and then some and everyone and their mother knows how to make them.

MissTeak (Chapter 30) - Tue 20 Jul 2010

Oh, Monty, this is hilarious!! I think I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this line, "Nonsense! We’ll drown her in our combined testosterone!"

Seriously, hilarious much?? I couldn't stop laughing. Kudos to you for great writing, humor and creativity! Well done!

Sesshoumaru'sPriestess (Chapter 29) - Sun 13 Jun 2010

*chuckles*  I loved all of it!! Maybe some of these chapters will be read and reread and followed!!!!

Sesshoumaru'sPriestess (Chapter 18) - Sun 13 Jun 2010

hahahahahaha oh my kami-sama!!!

Sesshoumaru'sPriestess (Chapter 17) - Sun 13 Jun 2010

YOU ROCK!!!

Guest (Chapter 27) - Fri 07 May 2010

On the topic of cultural differences (hee XD), what makes me blink fast in agitation is the abuse of hot springs culture. You don't sully a hot spring with soap and shampoo because you'll be sharing the pool with others. You clean yourself outside of the pool, somewhere, somehow, before stepping in. (How about a parody on this one?)

floridfox (Chapter 29) - Thu 06 May 2010

This parody continues to crack me up every time I read it. It reminds me of this ONE thing that bothers me beyond all ridiculous things that authors do (besides song fics, but you've already covered that one). I will be reading a fic with great storyline, grammar, and literary skills, but then they'll say, "Sesshomaru grabbed Kagome's waste." I have no idea why people can't get waist and waste right. I have seen it so much on this site that it is ridiculous! Sesshomaru does not, and will never handle Kagome's excrement.

Keep writing, I love it!

BlueHeavensAngel (Chapter 12) - Thu 06 May 2010

Thank you!  I never understood the whole talking to their "inner self" thing.  It's really annoying.  It you have voices in your head it probably means your schizophrenic and should see a doctor.

Trouble_In_Shangri_la (Chapter 25) - Thu 06 May 2010

LOL@Stupefication! Well, in Embrace the Silence I kind of played on the joke where dogs drink out of the toilet by having Sesshoumaru mistake Kagome's toilet for an indoor well. Kagome stopped him before he scooped out any water, though. :P I thought it was pretty funny, but I did make sure to let him figure out a LOT of things on his own. XDDD! Funny chapter, man!

Trouble_In_Shangri_la (Chapter 5) - Thu 06 May 2010

This is like youtube poop, but for fanfiction! I love it! XD Random A/N's drive me batty!

Ladyfifi (Chapter 5) - Thu 06 May 2010

Loved your chapter "Random A/N's."  Author's Notes right in the middle of a sentence always bother me. And no, I don't find your story offensive.  It is always a good sign when you can poke fun at yourself. :)

Haltia (Chapter 1) - Thu 06 May 2010

Oooh, these fanfiction clichés are so true! And lets not forget:

"Super-Miko Kagome" where Kagome gets a sudden, "unexpected" permanent powerboost, or training through dreams with Midoriko as a mentor (so far as I know, Midoriko's soul inside the Shikon no Tama hasn't been able to interact with outside world...?)

Sesshomaru living through centuries and installing himself as a successful businessman (so far what I've understood, he doesn't particularly care about humans and being a successful businessman would require him to deal with a lot of humans, most of them  with less than admirable standard of honor he so values...)

Rin the Matchmaker. The girl is around 8 years old, sure in those times, when you got your period you were old enough to start a family, and she did die and was resurrected which MIGHT'VE given her some insight and a different view on life in general, but she's still a child with child's mind. Not nearly clever enough to outwit a demon of roughly 60 times older than she herself.

Sesshomaru turning human and/or losing his memory. If Sesshomaru is the most powerful demon in Japan, I doubt that there's a spell strong enough to curse him without a great sacrifice (like paying from the spell by ones own life/energy or something similiar).

Sesshomaru getting through the Bone Eater's Well. As far as I know, Inuyasha can get through the well because the beads of subjugation bind him to Kagome to a degree. Maybe some sort of bond would allow him to pass, or even a shikon shard, but other than those two I don't see it happening...

Destruction of the Bone Eater's Well. Um, is it only me, but if you destroy the well in the Sengoku Jidai, wouldn't that make it destroyed in the future, denying Kagome ever been fallen to the well in the first place, messing up (or fixing, take your pick) the time line? Though, I'm not a master in physics and have only the barest of grasps on the theories behind the workings of time, that would stand into logic, no?

I'm quite sure there are more, but those are few that came in mind in an instant.
