This story really hit close to home in some ways... over the last year and a half, I lost three people who were really important to me. The grieving process is never easy and it's not something that just up and goes away once the funeral is over. There are times when you try to hold on and be strong... and there are times when you can't be strong and have to rely on others... this fic shows that so well.

This is a really lovely piece of writing. I do hope there will be more updates.

Very powerful writing. Subdued like an old fire, the embers banked but still warm. You write emotion with an even pace, a natural flow, and you respect both the characters and the subject matter. I could read this every day and feel renewed by it. I am in love.

This melted my heart. This is a beautiful song and everytime I hear it or see the video I cry. My husband is a Soldier in the Army and I know one day maybe sooner then I hope he will leave and I pray he will return. Again love it!

I have to say, I love your characterisation in this!  Kagome is in mourning, and it's clear, but not overstated.  And Sesshoumaru, the image of his stoic old self and yet his devotion to a woman who he's fallen for but knows he can't preposition because of the circumstances - wonderful!  ^^  Well done!  :D
