Very thought provoking chapter. It's sad that the jewel, and Kagome breaking it, is responsible for so much pain. I could see why Kagome would feel like she was drowning when she thought about it. With Sesshoumaru, Kagome and Rin must be his worst nightmare. Seeing what happened to his father makes it impossible for him to allow himself to care too much for them. Great update!

| Overall I like it except you have a kinda major word choice error (since it's the chapter title); rouge is another name for blush, I think rogue is the word you wanted, since it doesn't make sense for an agent to go cheek makeup.
rouge - makeup consisting of a pink or red powder applied to the cheeks
rogue - a deceitful and unreliable scoundrel, roguery - mischief: reckless or malicious behavior that causes discomfort or annoyance in others

No wonder why Inuyasha didn't like humans in general when he was alive. They're weak and give in easily to their greed and prejudice. He should get a front-row seat in the afterlife as the world is about to change.
Kagome should also pay her dear mother a visit as well and make her pay for her part in committing her to a mental institution. What ever happened to Souta? I've noticed that he wasn't mentioned in this one. Did he side with their grandfather or their mother? There will be hell to pay either way.
