Ahh this is starting out so sweet and sad! I love that he calls her his little bird ????♥?
And she’s having such a hard time in the feudal era and is all depressed poor bby ;-;
“This is what a good wife does” oh helllll no!
“He couldn't hear her talking about gen-der e-qua-lity or whatever she called that shit anymore.” Oh hellllllllllllll no!!
“Or do I have to remind you of ketsubon ky??" Oh god, what happened??
“Further down from the rest as to not contaminate their land and wives” Oh hellllllll no!! If she was running that whole time till she collapsed how fucking far is this lake??
Oh baby no don’t do it!!
Oh?? They’re connected somehow?? Intriguing...
“Annoyed at how those words caused a strange feeling in his gut” Yeah cause you’re secretly not the asshole you believe yourself to be
Aw that’s so sweet and sad that she feels connected to her family through the candles. And I love that he’s able to cheer her up and make her feel worthy of living.
“she couldn't stop the tears that were falling freely now.” Awww bby ;-;
Ohh he’s calling her! “Sesshoumaru clad in...red” he didn’t! Awww wow he really did! The whole shebang too!
Aww and a sweet hug to end it ♥?♥?♥?
This was truly bittersweet! But I can imagine them getting closer after this and him taking her away from the dumb village and they live happily ever after~
A Friend (Chapter 1) - Tue 14 Jan 2020
While I found this story extremely sad, the ending was heart-wrenchingly beautiful. I would love to see a sequel to explore what Kagome means to Sesshoumaru, why he wanted to help her so much. Also where are Sango, Mirok, Shippo, and Kaede? How did they allow the villagers to turn on Kagome and make her an outcast after everything she did to save them and why Inuyasha turned so hateful to Kagome? Anyway I think you could do so much with the polt you started here, can’t wait to see what your creative genius come up with next. Best of luck with your writing!
Respectfully,
A Friend
This is a beautiful and truly emotional ficlet. I adored how Sesshoumaru took to helping Kagome find meaning in herself once again and allowed himself to do something so sweet and meaningful for her. By dressing in Christmas red and decorating a small tree for her showed her traditions and beliefs mattered despite what anyone else thought.
I would like to believe that his little display will be the beginning of more meaningful things to come. Valentine's day is just a short ways away.....
