I would have to say, as a reader it was a painful experience.... It was well written by the author's side but the reader is the one who will receive in the end. And as a reader I have to unfortunately say that the characters were a little unlikable... This is not meant to disrespect the author because the story and the journey belongs to her but you know things could have gone better when you actually want to give up on the main couple and think that they are too toxic for each other and want Sesshoumaru to end up peacefully,  albeit without any deeper feelings with Touran.. The course of actions could have been taken differently to show their affection for each other in better way.. 

Sesshoumaru's insecurity and fear of heart break is okay but this only shows that he'll abandon Kagome the next time something horrible happens. Their relationship would not be able to take the impact. I read all other reviews and I saw both sides. Some people hate Sesshomaru and some hate Kagome. And I'm sorry I have to say this that, if a protagonist character is written in a way that they are hated and they are not meant to be hated because they are not the antagonist, then you know it is not right.

I was having trouble reading this after chapter 26 where things started going downhill and I knew the threesome would be where it will all start but I kept reading. I was initially uncomfortable with the threesome but greater things took turn. If I have to say what was the thing I like the most would sadly, only be Sesshomaru and InuYasha's budding brotherhood in the beginnings. That said, I hope it is not taken in an offensive manner but things could have gone so much better. There was a justification for Kagome's actions, his youki being the reason, but what about Sesshomaru? I won't take sides here. Cause for me if readers start taking sides of a character in a couple who should in all honesty be united, then it doesn't work for me. I have read your other fic 'only human' and even though I had a few objections in that, I had enjoyed it way better. Their relationship was portrayed way better.

Sadly, I must agree with inuyashas assessment. She clearly wasn't that into it with Kouga, yet she was gong to do it anyways? That's what a slut does. Even though she's clearly going through some mental stuff, the fact remains she was acting a little too openly with her body in my opinion. You should never sleep with someone just because you can, as you and the guy you're actually seeing are keeping it "light."

I love that Kagome is the one one the fence in this fic. It's so rare. Great story!

I love this conspiratorial Sesshomaru, working the board so he can knock all the pieces down. Though, I wonder what his goal with Kagome is. It doesn't seem like he's going for a massing yet so you'd have to wonder how far ahead he's planning?

This story was wonderful and I enjoyed it!
