Great story. The updating schedule does work because it gives you a deadline or something to look forward to. Some authors do short chapters or long ones. Personally I'd rather a good short chapter than a long wordy one. Some authors do a part one and part two chapters when they are still working on ideas or just posting one chapter. Maybe updating with one or two short chapters a week is better for you or one very long chapter a week. 

Try out a schedule and see what works for you. Also if you aren't on time and you post a day or two later don't worry about it, we have patience. Please continue your story. It's getting really good and I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
