I believe that Sesshomaru thinks that Kagome has let the fox in the henhouse, so to speak, when she took Kiyoshi to the village to care for his injuries. He doesn't trust him. I also believe that those low-class demons were just a diversion to get Inuyasha, Kagome and Kaedae away from the hut so the monks could get to Kiyoshi without interference.
As to why the monks are so dead set on meting out punishment onto Kiyoshi........perhaps it is to show that no one gets away from their order if they defy them. Of course, it couldn't be so simple as that now, could it? To send 8 monks after one unnoteworthy individual, hmmm? Either Kiyoshi is of some importance to them, wether he has any sort of power as a monk or he is holding something of signifance. Either precious knowledge (like the scrolls the elders have, maybe something similar to that) or an artifact/spell, etc? that could be very useful to the order and their quest to rid the earth of all youkai.
Of course, this could just be another way to gain trust in Kiyoshi. But I doubt it. Either way, Sesshomaru is now involved. Things are slowly starting to heat up. I can't wait to read what the next few chapters have in store! Thanks!

The correct word is daiyoukai, which simply means big youkai. Dai means big. (this information was gained through a Japanese native that was reading one of my fics and reviewed.) Further research for verification purposes proved her correct. The word Tai stands for a fish, a pacific sea bream, to be specific. So in calling Sesshoumaru a Taiyoukai, it's basically calling him a fish.

I really like how you keep the suspense and mystery levels exciting... I'm always happy to see there is an update!
As to the 'tai' verses 'dai' mixup: The correct term is 'daiyoukai'. Watch the part where Myouga is speaking about the Inu no Taisho in Japanese and he calls him a 'daiyoukai'. The confusion came up because in Chinese, the word is 'tai' and means great. Early writers got mixed up with the kanji and took the Chinese meaning over the Japanese, and it was perpetuated by writers who took it for gospel. Actually, 'tai' in Japanese means pacific sea bream, a rather tasty fish... which has always cracked me up.
And just because: Another misconception is that youkai identify with the base of what they are... they don't! Sesshoumaru only refers to himself as a daiyoukai, Kouga always identifies himself with his pack, they never identify with being a dog or wolf. In fact, the fastest way to insult Inuyasha is to imply he is a dog, and the insults he throws at Kouga always have 'wolf' at the base of them. So all these stories that have Sesshoumaru saying 'I am inu' would actually be insulting to him and all youkai involved!!!
Hope this helps!

If you read the story dokuga, the writer says taiyokai means fish demon. Loved the new chapter!!! I still have a hut feeling that something is not right with Kyoshi. -.- can you tell me. Lol
Good story line so far! Keep it up please! :) Also, not too sure about daiyoukai or taiyoukai, I've seen both as well, as long as you are consistent in using the same term throughout, I don't think it's that big of an issue, but I like that you try to incorporate actual Japanese diction into the story. One thing I noticed in some of your chapters is that some paragraphs have two different speakers in them, any time a different person starts to talk there should be a new paragraph. This will help prevent confusion for the readers, as well as yourself when proofreading. Hope this helps!
Leaora (Chapter 11) - Sat 14 May 2016
Hmmm..... Who is Kiyoshi really and why is Sesshomaru being so reticent with his advice?
Exciting chap looking forward to seeing more.
I love it. Simple and decadent love. Keep up the good work.
Was so worth the wait!!!
Eva (Chapter 10) - Mon 11 Apr 2016
Things are starting to come together. Perhaps Sesshoumaru believes in himself so absolutely he doesn't see her undermined self confidence. He hasn't noticed how Inuyasha constantly berates Kagome? It seems everyone else is guilty of it as well. Then again why would he care. Even now he is just grooming an ally for conflict.
Good chap now I wonder if the new monk is to be trusted.
Great story so far. I can't wait to see were you take it. Update soon please.
Corina (Chapter 9) - Mon 07 Mar 2016

Leaora (Chapter 9) - Mon 07 Mar 2016
I can't help but compare Kiyoshi's situation with Kagome to when Kikyo was helping Onigumo in the cave. I really hope he doesn't turn out as bad as Naraku, but..... the potential is there. Keep going. I am excited to see where the battle lines get drawn.
Ankoku (Chapter 9) - Mon 07 Mar 2016
I am so enamored by this story right now and can't wait to see where things are going to go. I actually really enjoy Kiyoshi's character and kinda hope he will stick around. He seems really perceptive and I think he will actually end up nudging Kagome to Sesshoumaru... especially since he already stated her and InuYasha act like siblings (which they do).
I definitely am concerned with this whole monk gathering. I really like the way you are putting it together to make it original. I am excited to hear more about this new enemy and how (hopefully ) Kagome and company will prevail. I am more of a past person than a future Tokyo .. can't help it haha
I can't wait to see their relationship start... I almost feel like Sesshoumaru has feelings already but is staying in the background. You do a great job with his character. I really enjoy him. I also like how you portray InuYasha. While I honestly like InuYasha's character, I do find him slightly immature in the aspect of him needing to get what he wants. Not saying he isn't intelligent, he is very street smart and good at reading people. I guess I always enjoyed Sesshoumaru's level headed-ness and maturity .. but pushing towards a century will do that to you haha
I can't wait for the next update, especially since Sesshoumaru is in it! Sorry for any spelling /grammar errors. I'm on my cell phone... Take care!
Really loving this story! Read all of it up til this chapter in one sitting. Hope to see more SxK romance! Update soon!
Oh yes! Another great chapter! High five. Hehehe. Can't wait to see what Sessh wants and what us up with mystery monk. I wish Kagome would just slap InuYasha sometimes. Lol.
