He didn’t see her coming, but it was already too late.
His sight was instantly blinded by the unexpecting light, as bells rang loud booming in his ears. His throat constricted tightly, preventing him uttering a single sound, as his nose was bombarded with ghastly smell.
He struggled hard to fight it, but his body gave in and he hit the ground. Her evil cackle resonated heavily around him until he felt the numbness begin to take over.
And then, there was nothing.
Golden eyes opened sluggishly as he floated in an uncharted space. 'Where am I?'
Lukewarm water flowed gently caressing his skin. Still feeling hazy after the attack from earlier, he continued to watch languidly as tiny bubbles escaped from his mouth. His heart stayed true to a slow rhythmic beat as his lungs kept pumping air like nothing was wrong. 'I’m not drowning?'
An uneven mixture of fear and curiosity began to fill his head rousing his consciousness fully awake. Attempting to move his arms and legs, he found that the sensation was lost. 'What’s going on?'
Panic began to set it. Mind shifting into overdrive, he somehow managed to move until his face came in contact with a barrier. Refusing to give up, he kept trying different routes until he was met with the same result, over and over. 'This is madness. Why can’t I escape?'
“Um, if you keep that up you’ll definitely die.”
“Show yourself,” he demanded searching for the source of the voice.
“I’ve been in front of you this entire time,” she purred back. “Look up.”
His body floated backwards at a downward angle. Golden eyes met with a giant pair of bright blue ones surrounded by a mass of thick black fur.
He questioned his heart when it instantly quickened its pace. When he saw the flick of her tail, he reflexively backed away more.
“Oh, stop being so scardy,” she hissed. “It’s not like I’m gonna eat you or something!”
“Who says I’m afraid?” he growled back.
“Me! Because I’m a big fluffy cat and you’re a betta in a bowl.”
“Impossible,” he glared at her. “This Sesshomaru is a great dog demon…”
“And THIS Kagome is the Shikon priestess. But guess what? Here we both are under the witch’s spell!”
