This is for the SessKag Sci-Fy contest! ( http://sesskag.deviantart.com/gallery/38538118 ) :D It's my first contest piece so please be kind. ^^;
While I was all for the tubes and space ship serious and angsty picture when I started, I didn't know the first thing about any Sci-Fy movies. So I decided to go to my little friend Google image search for some help. I started there and doodled some ideas out before I suddenly dropped it--I wasn't feeling any of it.
So in the end I decided to just look at some movie clips and such and see if inspiration hit me. But as I was doing this, I came across what I feel is the SCARIEST movie of all time: ET. (Granted, the last time I had nightmares from it, I was 7 and haven't gained the courage to see it since then.)
But then, I knew I had found it--why not throw out the seriousness of this contest and have some fun with it? So that is exactly what I did.
This has to be the most ridiculous piece I have ever made--I laugh at myself every time I look at it and shake my head because I cannot believe that it happened. ^^;
In any case, I like how it turned out. It was totally fun and I'm just glad I finished something in time for once. >///>;;;;
I can just imagine Sess--reluctant as it is to as for help from a stupid mortal girl--and Kagome, always happy and overjoyed to help her unrequited alien friend phone home. <3
I hope you get as much of a kick out of this as I did doing it. ;)
