The animal sort of reminds me of a small anubis. The gold is usually associated with them. This was awesome for a second I thought there was a story attached to this.

Love the egyptian theme - nicely done! The black animal (the other commenter called it a cat, but I think it's a jackal) reminds me of Umbreon (like a crossover of two of my favorite animes - InuYasha and Pokemon!). Nice work!
