Deep emerald flicked back at the last moment to hers, the old sparkle of mischievousness returned with such a ferocity that it matched the foxfire licking around the edges of his quivering form.
"Watch me, Kagome. I'm a lot stronger, than you last saw me. I'll protect you."
Whether it was a good thing or bad thing, Kagome honestly couldn't say she knew.

This is the continuation of my Shippo plunnie, which was spawned by iy_no_kakaera prompt 'Strength from Within', and thereby spawned a one shot at iy_fic. ;; In the end, I have stayed awake longer than I wanted to. x'D
Shippo is wearing Inuyasha's red fire-rat coat in this, which was meant to tie to his desire to protect Kagome as much as Inuyasha once had. He is also part-transformation to his full Fox form, hence flow-ey hair, shifting eyes and sparks of energy around him. x'D
For those who may be lost, this is part of a post-CU plot-bunny with an adult!shippo, that is in the process of being fleshed out, where Shippo prevents Kagome from returning back to Inuyasha by lying to her when the well closed. He is well intentioned, but. ;u;
This was a practice with some watercolours I was given as a gift, and have been having some fun with. *m* It was touched up, however, to return the brightness of the colours more to their original, but apart from that, this is completely traditional, which is a first for me.
