I am very aware that this picture might actually be darker on other people's computers.
On my computer it looks nice though :3
The blue/silver lights are in fact souls due to the fact, when I think 'God of Darkness' I think Hades which makes me think Underworld which means dead people :D
The black tendrils in the back are in deed shadows hence the 'Let his shadows embrace you' bit!
