In mere moments he returned and draped the towel over her body while simultaneously picking her up within his strong arms. Kagome was caught off guard, “What are you doing!?”
Sesshomaru’s ears flinched as she yelled out her surprise, “I’m taking you to the infirmary to get you checked out. I think you may have hit your head and you inhaled pool water. You could have died.”
“T-That means… you… I mean… Oh my God…” Kagome’s face turned crimson as reality dawned on her. Sesshomaru performed CPR on her and that meant his lips touched hers. It was not meant to be an intimate act, but it still embarrassed her nonetheless.
Sesshomaru saw her cheeks flush with color and it entertained him to see her so uncomfortable. He retained his impassive face, wondering when the miko would calm down.
