Description:
This is a redesign of my first picture done in colored pencil.
This time I chose to focus the picture on her as the Miko of the Shikon no Tama. I changed her hair because a lot of you have her disliking the super done-up ancient Japanese hairstyles and I agree. The colors and patterns on the kimonos were simply ability and preference. I tried the design in yellow and it just didn't look as pretty. Oh, yes, also, the tree is now alive.

Thank you! And I completely agree about the details and her not blending in. I'm still novice level in background art, but next time I'll definitely try to match everything.
It's like she's sitting in front of a stage and not actually outside.
She's wonderfully detailed, but everything outside of her isn't.
It does make a good contrast though, but feels somewhat half-finished.
