For me, these are the icons for Kagome (a Kagome star, duh XD) and Sesshoumaru (a crescent moon) and those magenta strips, since the moon alone could be used for his mother too, she has only one.

Well, I took the reference of a "Kagome star" from a chapter of the anime, where Kagome's mom explains her why she picked that name, which is because that star appeared in her chest, and it looked like the one in this picture. I'm also aware of the shape you are telling me, but I chose this one 'cause it appears in the series :)
