A/N: Hey everyone this is my first fic, so I hope you like it!! I had to change the rating to MA because of a graphic death scene, sorry about that!

“Talking”

I’m so tired of being here

Suppressed by all my childish fears

And if you were to leave

I wish that you would just leave

‘Cause your presence still lingers here

And it won’t leave me alone

She walked through the dark forest, alone; contemplating everything that life gave her. The bad seemed to outway the good. She has lost so much in life, her adopted son, many friends and her one love. Why was the world so unfair, she wished that she could just end it all it would be so much easier that way. No more pain, no more sorrow and maybe just maybe she would find the one she was looking for. She still remembered the short time that they spent together, all the laughter, the smiling faces and even the angry ones, all of it was still fresh in her mind.

These wounds won’t seem to heal

This pain is just too real

There’s just too much that time cannot erase

She couldn’t take the loss of her family anymore, the pain wouldn’t go away. For months now, she has been able to ignore what has happened, to not dwell on it for too long. However she just couldn’t forget their faces as they left this world, it was too hard to keep pretending that it never happened, because it did. And she would never forget, no matter how much time went by.

When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears

When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears

And I held your hand through all of these years

But you still have all of me

She still remembered the first time that they met, It was a sunny day, not a cloud was in the sky. She found him lying on the dirt wounded from a battle with the enemy. At first she was just going to run away, for he could kill her without a second thought but it was not in her kind and compassionate nature to do so. In the end after much resistance and death threats on his part she helped him and formed a bond that would turn out to be unbreakable. They ended up falling in love which was an unbelievable feat for him because of his “lack of emotion” and his reputation. She laughed bitterly at that, if only the others knew what she did about her seemingly cold demon, how much he loved her, and how much she loved him. If they knew that maybe he would still be there with her and so would her little kit, but there was no point in thinking about what could have been. Even after all that happened men still came after her, claiming there love, she didn’t know why, perhaps it was her mane of ebony hair or her sapphire eyes. It didn’t matter though, she would have none of them, only one being held her heart and he was gone.

You used to captivate me by your resonating light

Now I’m bound by the life you left behind

Your face- it haunts my once pleasant dreams

Your voice- it chased away all the sanity in me

His handsomeness was unrivaled, silver flowing hair that captured the moonlight and golden eyes that reflected the sun. A crescent moon on his forehead that marked him as the lord of the West her love- Sesshomaru. For the short time that they were mated, he was her world her everything and he was ripped away from her by the cold claws of death. She wondered if he was with her, if he could see and feel her pain, she wondered if her kit shippou was with him, and maybe even her friends. She wondered if they were happy, if they were at peace, and she hoped that they don’t feel anymore pain that she knew that they felt when they died. She couldn’t do it anymore, just remembering them felt like she was getting stabbed over and over again.

Sesshomaru was always there for her when she need it. And now when she needed him most he was gone. The world was truly unfair.

I’ve tried so hard to tell myself that you’re gone

But though you’re still with me

I’ve been alone all along

When her friends died first, it was horrible but bearable because she had Sesshomaru with her. However when she and Sesshomaru went to finish off Naraku, she was the only one left at the end of the battle. Sesshomaru was in the air with tentacles impaling him from every direction, it was too much even for his demon blood and he died. She watched as Naraku threw Sesshomaru’s lifeless body to the ground and thats when it happened. In a burst of pure purifying energy Naraku was turned to dust and the Shikon Jewel disappeared, she couldn't even wish her friends and Sesshomaru back. She missed them so much but without Sesshomaru, she was completely alone in the world.

She continued to walk as she was thinking; the young woman was brought out of her thoughts when she heard a noise. Her senses told her that something powerful was coming closer towards her. Ah she thought is it finally time for me to leave. Just then a searing pain ripped through her body and then she felt nothing but pure happiness. It is finally over, will I get to see you now Sesshomaru?

...me, me, me

“Kagome,” she knew that voice. “Sesshomaru is that really you?” She cried. There was no reply for a while and she started to think that it was just her imagination when she heard him speak again. “Come now my love, and let us start again." Start again? What could he mean by that?

“Kagome, come join this one in a land where there is no more pain and suffering a land where all of your friends have journeyed. And there we can spend all eternity together.”  

Kagome smiled, finally a happy ending. “Ok Sesshomaru, take me away.”
