A/N: I've decided to try my hand at a short oneshot/drabble, in between updates for my Korekuta fic. I am not certain if I will expand on this and make it into a drabble series. Reviews are always welcomed.

Glossary: Byoki Unmei - translates into ill-fated, ill-fate or sick fate(ed).  It is meant as ill-fated for this piece.

I have been in the presence of those cerulean spheres many a time. At no point did it occur to me, to explore their profundity - until that particular evening in which the twilight took liberties in stroking their rotundity. In that instant an unanticipated unveiling came to pass, an ocean of desolation. I found myself submerged in a sea of cyan oblivion - my very breath seized by their forlornness.

My composure and demeanor remained outwardly intact, however that which was silently unearthed left me at a loss. Surely the scent of such anguish alone would have been apparent. It is not possible for humans to mask their aroma. I did not sense her aura this time, yet another anomaly. This Sesshomaru does not accidentally "run" into others.

It was at this moment that the miko came daringly close to my person. She dared slither those feeble mortal digits up the sleeve of my haori; soundly clasping her palms on the area just above where this one's arm once existed. An outpour of heat erupted through my shoulder and chest, rendering my body quiescent. Luminous silver and coral pigments flared between us. It was reiki combined with ... impossible.

Obscure visions plagued this one's mind, memories of an incantation. The remembrance of an imprecation. This miko was neither mortal nor demon. Yokai and reiki managed to reside with in one being ... preposterous.

A foreign yet natural sensation emanated from where this mad woman, attempted to assail this Sesshomaru. Scanty fingers swept down an entirely functional arm. She'd released her hold. The rapid cognizance of the current situation leaving this one in an astounded state.

The fragrance of blood entangled with in whispering winds, did not go unnoticed. The priestess ruptured vessels in her eyes, nose and mouth as she healed this one's arm.

Miko and Inu Lord remained underneath the moonlit sky in quietude, no words were exchanged.

The woman kept her crimson stained eyes averted, refusing to meet my own. It was then when she fled, running as fast as her legs could carry her.

Those haunting orbs of sapphire. The eyes of an ill-fated, abomination.
