A little older now, at eight, Rin had begun to wonder...

“Why did Sesshomaru-sama give me a second chance?” She asked, herself.

She knew the accepted story, of course. That he was merely testing his sword, Tenseiga's power.

She'd found that out purely by accident. But was that really all there was to it?

If so, why had he allowed her to follow him these last three years?

Or rescue her when those 'supposed monks' tried to cleanse her of his “taint”?

It made very little sense. And there was an undeniable veiled warmth when he looked at her.
