"Hey, 'Gome!" Sesshomaru called to his best friend in the whole world and his secret love, Kagome. He and his beast were just crazy about her but sadly his Kagome didn't feel the same as he did. Even trhough he was sad about that, Sesshomaru stayed by his Kagome's side and supported her no matter what. His love for her was so strong and passionate that he would do anything for her. He would also do anything to see her happy.
"Hey Maru! What are you doing?" Kagome said as her beautiful, color-shifting, ice blue eyes took in Sesshomaru. Her eyes going dreamy and wistful as she continued to stare at her best friend in the entire world and her secret love, her Sesshomaru. Everytime she was near him, she had to use her miko powers to hide her reactions to him. Her miko powers hid her racing heart and rushing blood. She smiled radiantly as he grew near her.
Sesshomaru had to force himself to keep walking as her smile took his breath away and nearly stopped him in his tracks. "Nothing much, 'Gome. Just looking for you." Sesshomaru let a little smile show as he talked to her. He only smiled when he was with her. His smile took her breath away and left her gasping for air.
"Kagome! What is wrong? Are you okay? Please, please tell me you are fine." Sesshomaru said as he rushed to her side. His Beast let out a pitiful, keening whine. He thought she was dying. Sesshomaru began checking over her like a mother hen. Kagome the burst out laughing at the image Sesshomaru presented.
Once Kagome got over her fit of laughter, she proceeded to answer a very disgruntled Sesshomaru's questions. "Nothing is wrong Sesshy. Yes, I'm fine Fluffykins."
"Kagomeeeeeeeee," Sesshomaru whined,"You know I do not like it when you call me Fluffykins in public. It is very undignifying and humilating of This Sesshomaru."
"Oh Maru-kun, you know i was just kidding, right?" Kagome turned big, pleading, puppy dog eyes on Sesshomaru. Her bottom lip began to quiver when the period of silence stretched on. Her eyes grew tearful. Silent tears began to stream from her eyes as she hung her head. Her bangs covered her eyes as she turned around and began to walk away from him.
"'Gome-chan, wait! This Sesshoma-- I mean I know you were just kidding. I was just teasing you, please don't cry," Sesshomaru actually implored Kagome," Please forgive me Kaggy. I'm truly sorry Kags. I beg of you to forgive me, I'll do anything. Sesshomaru's Beast continued to whine, whimper, sulk, and pout in any way, shape, and form it could think of at seeing his Kagome weeping.
"Are you truly sorry, Maru-chan?" Kagome sniffed and hiccupped," If you truly are sorry then I might be able to forgive you."
"Yes Kags. I truly, truly am sorry." Sesshomaru said. His Beast perking up at the thought of Kagome forgiving him.
"Then yes I forgive you Fluffy." Sesshomaru smiled at the childhood nickname Kagome at for him. She always called him 'Fluffy' when they were younger because she could not pronounce his name back when they were five.
"I'm glad 'Gome." Sesshomaru said as he nuzzled Kagome's face. Kagome blushed as Sesshomaru continued to nuzzle her face. She let out an inaudiable sigh and decided to enjoy both the attention and the sensations the action caused within her. Her blush grew a brighter and deeper red and spread from her face to her neck and shoulders. She hugged Sesshomaru when he stopped her face in the crook of his neck. His manly scent of wintermint, forest musk, and sandalwood calming her as she relaxed as she inhaled it. She then nuzzled and licked the crook of his neck, making his blood heat as his body reacted by pumping his blood through his veins faster than usual. His eyes glowed red as they held each other. Sesshomaru's tail wrapped around them. He shut his eyes as he communicated with his Beast.
'Want Gome! Take Gome. Love Gome! Mate Kagome!' His Beast rumbled.
'NO Beast. You can not have Kagome. She does not love us. She does not like us as anything more than a friend. She is only interested in us as a friend.' Sesshomaru thought sadly.
'Yes she do! She like us. 'Gome love us!' His Beast insisted stubbornly.
'No she doesn't! Okay! She could never love us! Just give it a rest why don't you!' Sesshomaru mentally shouted.
'Hrrumph. You see. Will see 'Gome love us.' Sesshomaru's Beast said as he receeded.
'What do you mean, Beast?' Sesshomaru asked. His Beast did not answer. Sesshomaru left it at that. Sesshomaru blinked his once more golden eyes and released Kagome as she released him. Kagome nearly blinded him with her dazzling smile. Sesshomaru opened his mouth to say something to her but he was inturrupted.
"Kagome!" Someone shouted. "How's my woman doing?" Koga asked as he appeared before her holding her hands. Sesshomaru snarled as Koga oblivuosly talked to Kagome. Sesshomaru appeared to the left of Koga and removed Koga's hands frome Kagome before he proceeded to rip him away from Kagome. His blood red eyes belying his fury. He snarled once again as Koga tried to bypass him to get by to Kagome.
"If I were you ,whelp, I would leave Kagome alone. For if you don't I will pulverize you. Understood?" Both Sesshomaru and his Beast rumbled and snarled at Koga. The wolf looked terrified and nearly soiled himself as he fled the scene with his tail between his legs. Both the Beast and Sesshomaru barked out a rumbling laugh. His Beast then receeded. Sesshomaru looked around for Kagome, fearing her reaction to what he did. He caught sight of her rolling on the ground laughing her ass off at the sight Koga made as he ran away in fright. Sesshomaru walked over to Kagome and loomed over her form. As she stopped laughing, she sat up and wiped a few tears from her eyes.
"Kagome, I am sorry if I upset you. Can you forgive me?" Sesshomaru asked as he helped Kagome up off of the ground. Kagome stood up and dusted herself off.
"Upset me? Maru, you didn't upset me. In fact, you just made my day with that hilarious display. Besides, I have been trying to get Koga off my case since he first started calling me his woman, don't you remember? Why would I be mad or upset over that? I'm actually glad that you did that for you made me the happiest woman alive." Kagome smiled brightly at her Sesshy-chan. Sesshomaru exhaled in relief as he smiled at her for saying that. He pulled her close and hugged her. She smiled as she blushed and returned his hug.
Author's Note : If you couldn't tell this was for the color red of the Spectrum challenge. By the way, there will be at least seven chapters.
