Sesshomaru wondered just when Higurashi had taken over his mind.  He knew that Rin’s words from a few days ago had forced him to think about certain things but he hadn’t thought she was so astute.  Sitting down on the sofa, he proceeded to think about what his relationship with Higurashi was and just what he wanted to do with it.  He still didn’t have a plan to show her or make her his but he didn’t know why he wanted to make such a plan in the first place.

At first, he had thought her cute, then his feelings had grown to anger.  And now… after the war and the fighting and the events of the past few days, he realized she had gradually found a place in his thoughts as a potential romantic interest.

And to think, his attempts at wooing her had been worse than a teenager’s.  He let out a curse and stood to get a drink from the fridge and think this through.  He’d been an idiot, though why he had been he still didn’t know, and now he had to fix the relationship he had with the woman who was his neighbor.  But how?

Higurashi would probably approach his actions with caution, she wouldn’t believe he was actually turning a new leaf.  Taking a swig of his drink, he narrowed his eyes and steeled his resolve.  He’d just keep trying until he got through to her.  He didn’t know how long it would take but hopefully, she’d see he cared if he put in enough effort.
