Sesshomaru felt guilty as he noted the lights on in Higurashi’s living room and recalled his actions. Thinking back on it, he could admit that cornering her so might not have been the best of ideas but at the moment he had been acting out of…jealousy. The word brought a strange taste to his mouth and he glared at her house before pushing his curtains back down and making his way to the kitchen. Stopping at the refrigerator, he hesitated and opened the freezer section where an extra pint of chocolate ice cream sat.
He had bought it yesterday after the picnic and intended on giving it to Higurashi. Then, he had brushed it off by reminding himself that it could be used for a prank, but now- he wanted to gift it to her in apology. Would she take it though?
Grumbling, he opened drawers and ransacked cabinets and closets searching for the ribbons and giftwrap that Rin constantly left around his house. Finding a set of pink and blue ribbons in the hall closet, he pulled them down and began to work.
It took him fifteen minutes- longer than he had anticipated, but when all was said and done, a pint of chocolate ice cream stood on his island wrapped up in pink and blue. It looked well done despite his meager ribbon tying skills and he was proud of this accomplishment, small as it was.
But now, he faced another predicament. Just how was he going to give it to her and have her accept it?
