The battle against Naraku had finally concluded. All that remained was making the wish. Kagome held up the tiny marble, its soft pink sheen shown and glistened. All this drama because of a stone.

"Hurry it up already, will yah?" Inuyasha shouldered his mighty blade. "You've been staring at thing nonstop!"

"Hey, be quiet," the priestess shouted. She clenched the jewel inside her fist. Why can't he keep his big trap shut? Doesn't he realize how important this is?

"Still waiting!" Inuyasha yawned loudly. "Any longer and I'll die of old age."

Kagome bit her tongue and fumed. You're gonna die a lot sooner from something else! Heated eyes drifted to the other silver. Why couldn't this idiot be more like you? The demon looked disinterested off to the side. Quiet when necessary and a lot less rude. Stress from forming the perfect wish slowly eased as she started making comparisons. Sesshomaru was always as cool as cucumber while Inuyasha's quick temper leaves him ablaze. How could two siblings be so opposite? She speculated further. Was it how they were raised? Both came into the world under different circumstances. What would happen if they had switched? Would they still remain the same? She closed her eyes. What if...?

The jewel glowed.

A blinding light erupted. Everything in its path was completely engulfed.

Hours later she finally regained consciousness. Kagome found herself lying in the bone eater's well. What am I doing down here? She wondered as she carefully climbed up the vine wall. Once over the edge she looked around. How did I get here from Naraku's lair?

"Oh... you're back," a familiar voice hummed.

She quickly turned. "Inuyasha?" But to her surprise it wasn't him. "No way...!?" she stared at his ears and different clothes. "You're...!"

"Hn."
