January 1- Abecedarian

This is my first time posting on this site, I have mostly just been enjoying reading all the wonderful literary works. Last year I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy, albeit he was born 2 months early and needed constant care. This month he turns one and having given up my place in the workforce for the sake of my son I have been exploring different hobbies to occupy the little free time I have had. So I have decided to try my hand at writing while my son naps and this is the result.

WORD OF THE DAY- JANUARY 1

    ABECEDARIAN

You could hear crickets chirping, no really, you could. The sudden appearance of Sesshoumaru at their campsite had made them pause in their routine setup of their temporary camp site.  Finally Inuyasha broke the silence with his usual outburst, sword drawn he demanded to know what he wanted. Only a look from Kagome promising to ‘sit’ him made him back off but not to sheath his sword. Sesshoumaru ignored his younger half sibling and instead turned to Kagome.

“This Sesshoumaru has come to request an audience with the  Kagome, Shikon Miko, alpha of this pack and Miko to the village of Edo, and her beta, the hanyou Inuyasha, second son of the Inu No Tashio and half brother to this Sesshoumaru, Lord of the West, to draw up a contract of allegiance against the hanyou Naraku and bring peace back to these lands.”

Everyone gaped, switching between staring at the Taiyoukai and their friend. They didn’t know what was more astonishing. A.) The fact that Sesshoumaru sought them out for an alliance against Naraku B.) That he recognized Kagome not Inuyasha, as alpha, or C.) That he actually called Inuyasha his half brother without the usual disgust in his tone.
