Never Giving Up

“This anonymous creeper is surely changing you, my friend.” Miroku sighed, shaking his head. “First it was the whisperings, then the passing of notes and now you’re texting in class, I feel like the world is ending.” he said dramatically. “Is the sky falling?”

“I’m not texting,” Sesshomaru looked up with an annoyed glared, not really in the mood for Miroku’s antics. “Someone unknown sent a message.”

“Saying…?” Sesshomaru merely handed him the technologically updated smartphone, and Miroku took it with eager hands. All the message said was ‘she wears glasses‘. “What’s this even supposed to mean? Did you text this number back?”

“I did, however, they blatantly refused to text back.”

Miroku tapped a finger against his chin, thinking hard. “Well, a few girls in our current class wears glasses, but even that would take some time to figure out who it is, not to mention this person didn’t say she would be in our class, it could have meant someone from the entire school.” He started shaking his head, still pondering on this little tidbit clue. He then shrugged his shoulders, “Well we could just give up.”

Sesshomaru stared him down. “You believe I would give up?” he scoffed, glaring. “You must be insane.”

“No, my dear friend, you are insane if you want to figure this out.”

“They would continue placing these obnoxious letters in my locker, they would not stop, so why would I?” he crossed his arms, glancing around the room, spotting several girls wearing glasses and staring hard at them, as if he was telepathically trying to figure out who was the culprit.

“They would give up sooner or later, they can’t be that desperate.”

Both missed the one girl sitting near the back of the room, her own thick-framed glasses squared neatly on her face; a beam from the sun reflected off the glass, the glare hiding the calculative gleam in her eyes.
