Your Eyes Are Like Starlight Now by *~*Missy*~*

Mind if I move in Closer?

“Yes, it's still very difficult to talk about him. I hear from all kinds of different people that I should talk about it, about what happened. Of course most of those people don't know the whole story and my friends just really want what is best for me.” Kagome said with a sad smile. “I still decorate the tree where he is buried with holly. It was one of his favorites, I remember when I first brought it to the other side of the well because of Christmas, and he was so very happy, intrigued by it.” Kagome said with a slight smile, talking about him made her feel both happy and sad and it was confusing for her.

“The final battle was a tough one and it is no wonder that you do not wish to talk about it most times. It's not a wonder that, as you say, you've lost feeling. It took a large toll on us all. You, Bankotsu, Shippo and I were lucky to get out alive after that scum was defeated.” Sesshomaru said as he looked at her, she now held his hand to her cheek.

“We were, I just...” She shook her head.

“You what?” He prompted, trying to get her to speak more openly and honestly, he knew that she needed it and it was the only way to recover.

“I wish I could feel things as I did before, that flutter in your chest when someone you like looks your way. The tingle that would shoot up and down my spine every time we touched. The electricity that drew us in nearer.” She sighed again. “But that is all gone, I fear I will never be able to feel that again.”
