His voicemail kept popping up and the doorbell wouldn’t ring. Sesshomaru knocked on his brother’s door when an explosion suddenly went off. He quickly pulled out a spare key and entered the two-story home. Upon entry a thick white haze engulfed him. His hand fumbled to find the vent’s switch. After a few tries he finally found it. The mist cleared and his brother appeared. A roar of laughter shortly erupted. “What’s so funny,” Sesshomaru hissed.
“You make a lovely wild factor in my latest experiment. This has got to be the most bizarre reaction I’ve seen yet.” Inuyasha pulled out his pad and scribbled. “Let’s see…adding substance H to number sixteen creates…”
“Snow,” a woman answered.
“Well actually I was going to say nonlethal toxin that drains the hair of its pigment.” He looked up from his notes. “Wait. Who are you?”
“Kagome,” she mumbled. Her eyes never left Sesshomaru’s hair. “It’s so…white. Like…. Can…can I pet you?”
Sesshomaru headed straight for the restroom. The door behind him slammed. What he saw in the mirror’s reflection nearly made him shout a curse. He spent the next hour washing his hair.
Meanwhile, Inuyasha entertained his guests, his introduction with his new housemates was merry. The tour of the home was finished; the rules and regulations were nearly done. “Just don’t go in the basement,” he added. “I’ve got a special lab down there I’m runnin. It’s one of the most potent green stuff known to man and costs a pretty penny.”
“Weed?” Shippo asked.
“Even better. Holly! The stuff’s got tons of untapped potential.” He started counting them out on his fingers. “Flower remedies, herbal tea, health drinks, sleeping gas, paralysis spray, diarrhea enhancement, gravitational displacement, blood pressure coolant and now apparently…hair bleach. Um, that last one I need to look further into but you more or less get the gist.”
Sesshomaru chose then to make a reappearance. Curious stares found his alabaster head. With as much dignity he could muster he crossed the room and sat in a chair.
Inuyasha was the first to speak. “So it didn’t come out then?”
“Fix it. NOW.”
“But it makes you look pretty,” Rin awed.
Kagome nodded her head and agreed. “Yeah, it’s different. That’s for sure.”
Inuyasha rushed to his brother with paper and pen in hand. He circled him several times, pulling strands, and eyeballing his head.
Sesshomaru growled and barred his teeth. “You have 'til the count of three…”
“Settle down, Sessh, I’m collecting data and I need to observe this phenomenon up close.” He paused. “You do want me to make a cure, right?” The male huffed. Inuyasha stood back. “But how to describe such an unusual hairy occurrence in such accurate and fine detail…shall I compare thee hair to a mourning rose? The sclera of an eye?”
“Or an unused pad?” The room froze. All eyes shot to her corner. Kagome shrugged, “I was trying to help.”

A/N: This is one so far is my favorite, but there's still plenty more to come. And I haven't abandoned When It Rains. As soon as I catch up on the rest of these December prompts I'll be good and ready to go. Many thanks to all my reviewers and everyone else who enjoys the read. :)
