Trees
A/n: I know this is super late, but I'm finishing it! Prompts: Ornaments, Evergreen, Angel, Stars
Ornaments were everywhere, when Kagome walked into the banquet hall. Hundreds of gold, silver, and red ornaments scattered the floor in piles. If Kagome hadn’t seen it all before, she would have balked at the number of ornaments in the room. Over the weeks, they had decorated the bright grren evergreen trees with lights and today they were going to finish them by placing ornaments on the trees. It was still early and so she began the task of sorting the ornaments by herself.
When the other workers came into work, Kagome was sitting surrounded by three large piles of ornaments. Sano and Satoshi were surprised while Sango merely came forward and looked down at her friend.
“So, how are you doing the trees?” She asked taking a look at the gold and beginning her counting. She noticed three gold stars and two angels made of a soft white and gold material. She pushed those to the side realizing they were the tree toppers.
"One gold, one silver, one red, one red and gold, and one red and silver.”
“And is there any order?” Satoshi asked taking a seat by the gold ornaments. Sano followed suit, helping Kagome move out to the outer edge of the red ornaments.
“Just make a count and divide it by however many trees we have. You and Sango have two trees, we have three.” She indicated to her and Sano. The four nodded and began to get lost in their tasks. A short while later, the task was done and Kagome clapped her hands together gleefully as she pointed to the two trees near the entrance.
“Gold and Silver- gold right, silver left. Sano, you and me will take the gold. Sango, you and Satoshi can take the silver.” The four nodded and spent the rest of the day decorating the trees.
Later that evening when Sesshomaru came to pick up Kagome for their dinner date, he couldn’t help but marvel at the sight. With the lights up, and the decorations practically finished, the place looked like a comfortable and cozy hall. He wanted to stay there forever, had it not been for Kagome promising him that if he really wanted, she’d decorate her apartment like this too.
