Hair Bows Galore

Kagome delicately tied the red ribbon in her hair, only to growl in annoyance when it came out once again. She wondered why it was so difficult to tie a simple string into a lovely bow. Was it her hair? Or maybe her fingers were that sloppy? She stared gloomily at the elaborate ribbon with a lace trim in her hands, wondering what she was doing wrong. She tightening her hands into a fist, crinkling the thin material. She will not give up! Hurriedly, she severed another strand from the dwindling roll.

“Why are you using the ribbons for the presents for your hair?” Sesshomaru asked, the newspaper in his hand temporarily discarded as he watched with mild curiosity. His wife has been fighting with the same ribbon for the past ten minutes.

“It’s too cute.” That was her only reason why she was doing such a nonsensical task.

He turned back to his paper when his wife growled again. “It’s not meant for your hair.”

“I don’t care, I’m just doing something silly.”

“Seems like you have nothing productive to do.” He blandly said, noticing fairly quickly the darkening atmosphere. And it wasn’t from the sun since it was still four o’clock in the afternoon.

“Then what do you expect me to do?”

Wisely, he kept quiet, knowing the wrong thing said could cause him to be in bigger trouble.

“That’s what I thought.” With that monotonous remark, she returned to her childish task.

Bipolar… Sesshomaru thought to himself, reading a passage in the newspaper.
