Time of Giving

After the couple’s daughter have been put to sleep, it was the time Sesshomaru has been anticipating severely since dinner. They could finally go home. He wanted to shout out hallelujah, but he restrained himself, he could celebrate when he gets home.

“Wait, I almost forgot to give y’all something.” With that said, Kagome quickly, but carefully left the house to the car to get the gifts she bought for the couple. Maybe he should have went with her, the ground was slippery and the doll house he planned on giving to Rin was big.

“Inuyasha, get their gifts as well.” Inuyasha left at Kikyo’s command with a hunch and a soft growl.

Kagome returned, her arms filled with gifts. “We bought these for you guys, I hope y’all like it.”

“Kagome, you should have told me to get Rin’s gift.”

She glared at him. “Well if I left the room stating what I was gonna do, maybe you should have thought ‘oh hey, she might need help’ but no, you stayed.”

He didn’t say anything, not without inciting her temper, and her temper was short. So he settled with a defeated nod, watching as her emotions turned a complete one-eighty. Kikyo took it all in stride, seemingly at ease. His brows furrowed, was something going on?

He couldn’t ponder too much on that thought since Inuyasha returned, causing a big ruckus. With another reprimand from Kikyo, he had to hold his chuckles in, but the smirk that spread across his face couldn’t have been stopped. He just loved seeing his younger brother treated like an inept adult, the childish tantrums ebbing at Kikyo’s authoritative tones. That was the only good thing that happened all night long, besides his niece’s appearance.
