Shop 'Til You Drop

Sesshomaru wondered how he ended up in this situation. He wanted to tear his ears off as another Christmas tune filtered through the speakers of the store they were currently in.

“Welcome! Can I help you with anything?”

“No.” He bluntly said, not caring that his tone made the sales associate wither like a dead flower. He walked away, following behind the petite form of his wife through another crowded area. Some of the other customers looked at him as he shoved past them, but a dark glare from him made them think twice about saying something.

“I assumed before leaving the house that we were buying presents.” He commented, lugging several bags that were tightly grasped in his hands, each filled with clothes. Clothes for the woman before him.

Kagome merely waved her hand, as if she was dismissing his statement. “I just want to check some things out.” She said, looking through a rack of shirts.

“The only reason I came along was to help you pick out…gifts, if I knew it was just for you, I would have just dropped you off.” He hated shopping with a passion; it was right up there, underneath Christmas and Inuyasha on his hate list. Today, he was the pack mule for Kagome, carrying more than ten bags.

“Don’t be a sourpuss, not everything is for me.” She picked out a violet long-sleeved blouse and held it against her chest. “Anyways, what do you think of this?”

“Hn.” He severely wanted to leave, crowded places made him feel claustrophobic and the unstop Christmas songs were grating his nerves.

“I’ll take that as a ‘yes, I like it Kagome’.” She said, adding it to her growing stack of flow-y shirts.

“Is there a reason why we’re buying things for you?”

“No reason, I just felt like I needed a new wardrobe.” She said with an innocent smile. “Anyways, let’s check these out and head to the new store I heard about.”

Sesshomaru groaned.
