Bittersweet

His silence.

His intimidating personality.

His frigid golden-hued eyes were what caused extreme nervousness on her part, halting every ounce of noise from her when that stare lingered on her form. He wasn’t friendly and he wasn’t personable. He was the type to know of but not to make conversations with. She was his complete opposite. It wasn’t probable for two distinct personalities to become compatible, no matter how much of a crush one had.

Now she sat there in a solemn manner, clouded eyes staring at the crescent moon above from her window, her forehead pressed against the cool glass of early winter. If only the well hadn’t closed, if only she said something to him before the battle, maybe she wouldn’t feel this unexplainable emotion, something that resembled regret.

A bitter smile crossed her chapped lips, who would have thought Sesshomaru’s apathetic attitude would be sweet to remember.
