Willingly, Sesshomaru stepped into a world where humans dwelled, searching for the one he sought. Her scent filtered to him, knew where she was—alone at Rin’s grave. He went to her, until finally, he stood several feet behind her. Though it pained him to be near the grave of one he’d loved and lost, the miko’s presence eased him.  

Sensing his presence, she turned to him. Kagome lifted her eyes, gazing into Sesshomaru’s golden hues. Her heart skipped a beat. Longing hit her in the gut. She stared up at him with all her pent up emotion.
