Ayame swallowed as she was getting ready, she couldn’t wear her usual attire to this event, she put on a beautiful, yet short kimono.  It was teal to match her eyes alone with wolves in golden stitching.  She looked at her husband who had a kimono very much alike and smiled.

“Koga, there is something that I need to tell you.”  Ayame said as she took a deep breath and summoned her courage.  

“You can tell me anything koi.”  Koga said as he hugged his mate.

“Lord and Lady of the Southern Lands, your announcement is taking place in three minutes.”

“It looks like it’s time for us to get out there, it can wait.”  Ayame said with a smile, more than a little relieved to be putting off telling her husband for now.  Kagome certainly wouldn’t be pleased with her though. 

They walked together to a large set of doors, presumably to the dancing hall for the evening.    

“His Lordship Koga and Lady Ayame of the southern lands.”  Someone said in a deep voice to the couple’s left, with a few second pause they walked out on to the dance floor.  They walked around and before long they found Kagome and Sesshomaru and walked up to the pair.  Kagome was wearing a lovely dark green kimono with pastel green leaves that seemed to be floating down in a spiral design, she also wore a pastel green obi.  She gave Ayame a hug and then she directed herself to Sesshomaru, who was wearing a pure white obi with pastel green undertones, he nodded his head in Ayame’s direction.  This is what she had come to expect from Sesshomaru.  A servant passed them with a tray of bloodwine and the four reached for cups.  Kagome smacked Ayame’s hand and the cup went flying.  Everyone stared at her.

“What is the matter koi?”  Sesshomaru said as he watched his mate’s peculiar behavior.

“I…just…uh…”  Kagome grabbed Ayame’s wrist.  “…Ayame accompany me to the bathroom.”  Kagome said as she pulled the female with her.  “What do you think you are doing!?  You cannot drink while you’re pregnant!”  Kagome screeched at Ayame, making the wolf wince.  “Have you still not told him?”

“I was going to!  But then we were interrupted and I just didn’t get around to it.”  Ayame said and looked down sheepishly. 

“Oh we really need to fix this, come on!  You are telling him right now.”  Kagome said as she began dragging Ayame over there.

“Fine…”  Ayame said with a little pout.
