Chapter 8: Coast Clear

She was on her lunch break and the company’s security guard was cheerfully talking to her, but she wasn’t paying attention to him or his story about his five cats. She wondered briefly why he wasn’t standing outside the building, guarding. But her main focus was on how to approach Hojo without her boss interfering or eavesdropping on their conversation.

She stood, abruptly halting the one-sided discussion, and quickly ran across the room once she noticed the fat bastard wasn‘t around. She was panting when she reached the man, startling the poor fellow.

“Hojo, can you do me a favor?”
